2 stories I wanna share with my experience with chubby/tubbys The first is the first ever chubby enemy I ever met, a chubby varkid, I was running away from some threshers in the caustic caverns and took cover behind one of the trucks, not realizing it was shaking. A second later, the chubby burst out of the truck, stares me down, and gets pulled away by a wormhole thresher. I was dumbfounded as I watched the chubby varkid murder the threshers. My second story is the only time I ever saw a chubby/tubby midget. I was doing my first ever run of true vault hunter mode and had just arrived at the bloodshot keep, I was basically speed running through the area and all of a sudden, I see this fat tub of lard jump up on my platform and begin to shank me. I could not stop laughing for at least a 20 minutes XD

+rinalds senvalds you have to unlock them I believe in true vault hunter mode after you beat normal mode. to get ultimate vault hunter mode . I believe you need the dlc where you get to reach level 72 and op levels. so yes you need dlc.

I've only encountered one chubby midget, in Fink's Circle of Slaughter. There are a couple waves spread out among all 5 rounds that are entirely devoted to psychos/midgets, so if one is really deadset on seeing one ,that seems like a prime location to do so.

The wildlife preservation is the best because its filled with so many animals (Includes skags and stalkers) that can be tubbies, also you can farm pimon, tumba, the son of mothrakk, and the legendary lootmidgets for legendaries as well.

I don't know if it's just confirmation bias, but I seem to get more tubbies from secondary spawns that come after clearing initial mobs like at the end of the dust for example. After clearing out all the bandits where the black queen spawns I'm pretty sure it's set to spawn at least one badass level spiderant after clearing out the first waves which basically gives you a free roll to spawn one. Same story at three horns valley near where doc mercy spawns. Although it's faster to just save and quit and reload if you don't see a tubby skag, I always seem to have much more success quickly taking out the initial skags to force the secondary spawn. Hope this helps.

I think the best place for tubby/chubby rakks is in the torgue DLC, when you have to fight motor momma, just before you go into the place before fighting her there a little place to the left where only rakks spawn. I've had some great luck with chubbies spawning in there.

You'll have better luck with the varkids than the spiderants they take a while for one to pop up but the varkids have a good chance to pod up and turn into a tubby/chubby

I recently levelled a Gunzerker from 61 to 72 by farming rabid skags in Three Horns - Divide. Start at the door with the Catch-A-ride, kill the 4 skags there, run forward and kill all the skags under the Doc Mercy platform. Rinse, repeat. Saw about 30 tubbies in that time. Got 15-20 class mods, including exactly the one I needed for my build, and several Cracked Sashes. Took about 45min to 1hr per level. Required going back to Savage Lee twice and upgrading Unkempt Harold at 64 and 68.

Incidentally, my friend and I had some success in Dragon's Keep. You know that altar where you can offer items? We kept offering items, and on one particular run, we got two Tubbies to appear when the guy you offer items to sent us chumps. I don't know if that's a great farming place, or we just got lucky, but at least it's sort of double farming: you're farming the altar, and you get Tubbies, too.

mrmacross They don't spawn as often from the alter, but they do on occasion. That was a pretty sweet score getting 2 in one farming run!!! I love farming the alter and it's a great way to get XP points instead of just selling some crap items. The best things are two in one runs, alter & tubbies! :D

Nicolas Mangou 4-player mode and UVHM is not necessary for Tubby/Chubby farming. It helps to increase the chances of Tubbies showing up and Tubbies dropping Legendaries/Pearls. When you're True Vault Hunter Mode, you won't get as many Chubbies to show up compared to being in UVHM. Also, when you're in TVHM, when you actually do get a Chubby, that Chubby has less of a chance to drop a Legendary compared to being in UVHM. So when you're in TVHM, you won't see as many Chubbies and they won't drop Legendaries as much. But the good side is that being in 4-Player Mode will increase your chances of getting Chubbies and them dropping no matter what Mode you're playing in.

LightningGaming I would say roughly four or five, if you are on ultimate vault hunter mode. Be sure to check the area in front of Ellie's Garage before going behind it. I've seen a few tubbies there. Other than that though, just check every spot behind the garage, since there are loads of spawns for spiderants. Sorry for late reply.

If you've got Mr Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, the mission "Gas Guzzlers" where you have to kill some slagged rakks very often if not 100% of the time spawned a chubby rakk for me when I did it. You won't get any decent loot out of it because it's auto-coded to be chubby no matter what, but it'll get you the achievement for Platinum or 1000/1000 gamerscore.

Another spot to farm Chubbies and Tubbies is at Northern Racetrack (Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage), at the area where you do the mission Gas Guzzlers. Multiple normals and Chubbies spawn there, and they come in a big group. However, I don't know if they respawn, should do.

Earned a subscriber! But one question, Any tips on farming Doc Mercy or for the Bee Shield. I have tried for hours upon hours and cant get neither to drop

ISKShadow I have a video on farming Doc Mercy. Nothing special about him. Just use the geyser to get to him quickly to speed up farming. I typically get the Infinity Pistol from Doc Mercy in about 20-30 runs but some days, I can't get it at all. For the Bee Shield, you can farm Hunter Hellquist or you can farm the Treants and Pixies in Tiny Tina's DLC. The best spot for those two is The Forest.

ISKShadow I farmed hunter hellquist with a friend... You have a better chance of getting the bee shield but if you are still sruggling i'll be happy to dupe you one... Level 50 doe... and one psn

Armani Dukes No you don't have to stay in one spot. It's best to run around because that helps enemies come out in different areas.

I've only encountered Two chubbies, one in Normal in Caustic Caverns and one in Eridium Blight. Caustic Caverns was a Varkid and a Rakk in E.B. Only Two! Oh well. Thanks on the info about Three Horns Valley's Chubby skags...or Tubby.

I think I've seen more tubby bones than any of the others followed closely by varkids. I see a lot in the starting town of the dlc with all of the skeletons as well as the beach to the north of the area
