Yea, every part on launchers influence DPS, so say we were farming for a perfect badaboom it would be 1 in 5 for the grip, 1 in 5 for the exhaust, 1 in 5 for the sight, 1 in 7 for the accessory / prefix, its not guaranteed to be explosive as it only has a 75.6% chance to be explosive, so it has a 7.1% chance for every other element, plus it's a 1 in 20 chance for it to even drop from King Mong and it is 1 in 2 for it to be OP10. So on average it would take a total of 46296 runs for an explosive one, or 1 in 492958 for any other desired element and that is assuming he actually spawns every time. ( If anyone knows what the chance is for him not spawning in the easy two spots they could do the math to find the true amount of runs it would take to get a perfect one). :)

Any rocket launcher is going to be leagues harder, because every single part of the launcher influences the DPS of the launcher. Someone did the math for farming a perfect badaboom and it's like a 1 in 500,000 chance, whereas a perfect elemental conference call is like, maybe a 1 in 25,000 chance doing some rough math in my head? That's the reason Joltz hasn't done any launcher suggestions, because they're way too difficult at this point

Would the DPS really be much for a weapon that is only as fast as you can pull the trigger? So wouldn’t boss really be the best prefix?

been thinking about that for weeks. I know Joltz said that the Wild prefix IS slightly more damage, and I believe it's mathematically true, but not in the way most people would use it. Upping fire rate on a weapon like this is only useful when you bind the shooting to the scroll wheel to achieve the fire rate said on the card, and even then you'll be shooting in bursts if you don't have a gigantic index finger or a specific kind of mouse that lets you "detach" the scroll wheel so it can freely rotate. If you don't have any of these EXTREMELY specific things, you'll just get less damage on your Hammer Burster if you go for Wild prefix

Hi Joltz, just to make sure to mathematically correctly describing good luck and bad luck with this farm: You were lucky to get the perfect roll in the first 484 tries. Everything later would have been unlucky. You can compute this by checking when your chance of not getting the weapon yet hits 50% (699/700)^x = 0.5 and then solving for x x = ln(0.5)/ln(699/700). Else you will be surprised a lot by "good luck". ;)

It would be awesome to see a series just using the golden box. You would get maybe 10 rolls per 10 levels or 5 every 5 levels but after the first use then a rule to lose the rolls if you over level past the chosen level range. idk just a thought if you need some ideas. My suggestion for a farm is one of the unique Jakobs shotguns. Hydra, Orphan Maker or Striker. For the striker it could be the perfect damage or stacking, whichever is more rare.

Hey joltz! So after rewatching your video on amp stacking on sal, i had an idea. Since you have a map editor mod, i suggest to you that you bloodsplode dexi :) By spawning in a bunch of low level enemies you are able to kill, slagged and using the melee kill grenade damage on slagged enemies would, in theory, somewhat scratch dexi, with his bajilion hp pool! Also if you are not going to do that can you farm the perfect veruc?
