I would include Gage as well in the category for many useless skills. Deathtrap and about half her skills are useless once you hit UVHM. Always pigeon holed into using the same boring anarchy builds.

Which sucks cause Deathtrap is so fun but scales so badly late game. The only thing that is probably decent enough to use is the skill where Deathtrap copies your exact shield, but that leaves you with wasting skill points for a fun/gimmicky skill.

The worst part about anarchy builds is that most of them rely on three of the rarest items in the game. I.e. the sham, twister, and norfleet

In all honesty, a lot of Handsome Jack's charm is the VA. Without Daemon Clarke, I doubt he'd be as instantly iconic. Like how Claptrap doesn't feel the same without Dave Eddings.

Honestly if enemies didn't have 4X health, massive Regen, and slag wasn't a thing(or it was massively nerfed to like 1.5X) then I don't think OP levels would have been so annoying. I personally didn't find it fun watching all my options get pigeonholed into its overpowered or nothing. I actually have a lot of fun with the psycho, but I'll admit I'm never quite sure where to put points with him that don't feel like a means to an end.

I remember all my friends interest falling off when the OP levels dropped. The fact there are so many as well seems like useless padding. The idea that you go as far as you want and pick your own OP level that you're comfortable with to play on seems okay at first but it splits up the power level of end game characters. I'd rather everyone be on the same end game difficulty. Joining random matches when everyone is split between a bunch of different end game difficulties just didn't work as well as everyone being on the same end game level.

​​@@TheSpectralForcehats funny cause I've been playing since 2016. Not 7 years straight ofc but still for 7 years now. It's been a *hell* of a ride in an extremely good way. Tons of awesome, awesome memories in BL2. Almost makes me wanna tear up sometimes, almost. I dont wanna leave this game, I really don't, but I genuinely feel that it's simply time to move on but moving on from this game even after 7 years would still be very hard for me to do.

As a Kreig main i didn't like rakks, but they were manageable since they were week but i hated Buzzards because they are necessary to kill in multiple quest and when you like shotguns and melee it makes them such a pain to deal with. I lost count of the amount of times i've went into to fight for your life because of one and just had to hope i had good enough aim to finish one off

The reason why they went to op 8 and not op 10 was because 72 +8=80 and the op 8 enemies were level 80-82 so it kinda rounded itself out

My biggest disappointment is probably zer0s final sniper capstone skill, it could've been both powerful and fun to use but it decays so fast on top of snipers having low amounts of ammo its just kinda useless

my one big gripe with bl2 and the main reason why when I replay it nowadays it's usually with something like BL2 Reborn is the absolute dependance of Slag on UVHM and almost any difficult content. The fact that most runs start with immediately running to the Tina DLC and forcing your way into the mines to start one particular sidequest should kinda speak volumes, and if the Grog Nozzle was only for the healing effect I don't think it'd be as required for every run as it pretty much is.

I'm not gonna lie, I've been playing this game pretty much since it came out. I was a kid when it came out, played through the entire game with my dad, and got thrown into BL2 right as it came out. And I. Absolutely. *Loved* it. I mained Zer0 until I got the DLCs, and eventually switched to maining Gaige, and now, as I'm older, I can truly appreciate the level of story and depth and *love* I have for this game. However, I will say something. I hate Hammerlock's DLC, while I love him as a character even the nostalgia can't save it, and I hate that Gearbox has now made you have to pay for nearly as much as the base game alone when it's not on sale for the Commander Lilith DLC. I switched from console to PC, bought all the DLC thinking it was included like it was on Xbox, only to see... Nope. At the time of writing this, it's about $15. I love the DLC, don't get me wrong, but it's not enough content to make me justify buying it for that much. To this day it's the only content I don't have for this game, and refuse to buy until it's on sale. Looking at the reviews only helped me plant myself firmer into that stance. What a disappointment.

Level 72 OP8 was fine balance wise, many disagree but I think it’s fine for the most part. I also think the community patch is the definitive way to play the game but it seems that people on the gearbox forums disagree with me on that.

I like tediore. Chucking the gun for a burst of damage is nice and I don't worry about ammo since 90% of the ammo i lost was just sitting in my SDU.

The only time i have ever been glad that Rakks exist btw was on Krieg,i was dying during the Flint fight and a i had a bundle of TNT in my hand and i thought well this is it,im fucked,but then just before i exploaded a Rakk came flying down and died to my explosion,love that Rakk,still fuck every other one tho.

I strongly disagree with Commander Lilith being free. Not only did it cost quite a bit for anyone who wasn’t in the know, it prevented Digistruct Peak from letting you get OP levels if you didn’t have it so it reduced the content I could experience from what I had already bought until I forked out for the expansion.

All the skills u mentioned about krieg being bad arent correct light the fuse is still pretty throughout most of the game except high op levels and redeem the soul is great regardless co op or not fight your life duration is always good.

Why design shit that will be seen by a very small slice of the player base? 13:50 and totally agree with op lvl, (Even UVHM the balancing mess already show its ugly head.. redux is fun, but it basically turns bl3 into bl2 without slag, and at some point you gotta question is fighting bullet sponges really that fun? cuz the anoitments, which is a great point of contention to bl2 nostalgia goggles, they help with melting bosses without the use of an extra element. personally, i had to use mods for 2 to enjoy it as much as people on yt. bl3 only has one true flaw, and its AVA, everything else seems like natural progression.

Sorry the sal and axton is Arms Race. So modes decent enough its a take on a BR mode but no pvp and thats fine but we get 1 map forever no skills earned like there was 100% so much missed potential with the mode ppl get the new gear and it sits as content not to be seen again. I liked Big Game Hunt because it was just supposed to be a wildlife safari that keeps getting interrupted by some nerd, and that's kind of funny. Voracidous is a bit of a pain,, but he's better than Gi. Also the Commander Lilith dlc was awful, the areas, writing, Lilith herself, the fact that it was just the story of the Presequel but with enemies infected by plants instead of aliens. It was free but playing it made me want a refund for the whole game

I have recently revisited hammerlocks game hunt and I like it a lot more than when this video came out, I still dislike some of the same things I did like the map feeling to large and bland looking in some areas but the enemies and story are refreshing and more fun than I remember (probably because I played a lot of bl3 afterwards ahaha) some of the fight for sanctuary wasn't great but the fact they even released anything for the game, especially after such a long time with this amount of content, for free (for a while) got a lot of respect from me. Its not the best DLC but they didn't have to do it and noone wouldve expected them to. Thanks for your insight!!

I love OP / Mayhem levels exactly as they are in BL2. It gives you a real end game in which you have to invest a lot of time in order to master it but not in a boring kind of way. Additionally to make certain characters and builds work you have to get really good at the game, what would be more rewarding than this system, you have to understand and play the game at a pretty high level in order to be good with e.g. krieg on OP10. This system was one of the main things I stuck with BL2 for so long, I think it really is more than awesome and I appreciate it a lot for what it is :)

I felt BL2 was the perfect length, considering the game encourages multiple playthroughs with multiple characters, and succeeds in that too. BL3 is just too long and not in the fun way. It's got too many boring sections with boring quests, especially Eden 6. It was a chore to get through these sections on later playthroughs.
