​Really because I didn't see not one thing in that that represented borderlands in a way that people play borderlands... When I think of borderlands especially when me and my friends think of borderlands we think of the millions and millions of different weapons that you can find in game and that movie trailer didn't show not one of those types of weapons so I don't give a f*** about this movie it's nothing but a goddamn cash grab.. like XLR said it's so terrible that it looks fake like it was purposely done that way from a fan.... If maybe they made it about the siren actually using her powers and about the rarity of these unique weapons the movie probably would have been worth watching considering that's the reason why I even play the goddamn game to start wit And another thing just because you stick someone that looks like claptrap and someone wearing the mask of the face of the icon of what borderlands is without that the movie probably would have been a better movie because the only thing that's going to keep this movie afloat is probably clap trap himself and I don't even play the game because of that robot I actually don't like that robot that much and yet I'm forced to watch him now while I'm trying to enjoy some borderlands movie and I'm not even going to go and do that now because the first 30 seconds made it look like it was going to be okay and then they f***** up very quickly in the movieh​@@jamk2668

Here's my big issue. Roland is still kicking, they don't know about the vaults. Meaning this is Borderlands 1. 5 years before 2. Tina is 8 years old. So? THey're irresponsible enough to bring a 8 year old around? AND Krieg shouldn't exist yet. He was turned psychotic out of the slag experiments, he was a feared bounty hunter before Hyperion nabbed him, which HAD to happen after BL1. Sad when random people on the internet know the games better than the writers.

Like who is this movie for? It’s certainly not for the borderland fans. They’re tryna turn borderlands into what looks like jumanji if I’m being honest when borderlands is more a brain tumour type thing. It's much harder to try to take that same existing universe and "repurpose" it for a new story that has "mass appeal". They spent the first 3rd of the trailer with the needlessly long Claptrap poop joke. Because clearly it is comedic gold, and anyone who didn't laugh within the first 5 seconds of it is wrong, and they just need to make the "joke" longer so that we understand that claptrap is pooping. Poop jokes are so funny. We're all laughing....... Wait, no... We're all sighing..... Long and drawn out sighs. Those who AREN'T sighing are cringing. And we're ALL annoyed that THIS is what our beloved Borderlands has turned into. Poop jokes and lore inconsistencies. lemme break it down for you. This movie includes Roland. Spoilers, Jack kills Roland in 2. This movie includes Krieg, Krieg wasn't a psycho until between Borderlands 1 and 2. So this clearly takes place between 1 and 2? no. Because Tannis made it a point in the first trailer to talk about what vaults are, so clealry this is Borderlands 1. Which Tiny Tina was 8 during the time of. So this band of cheap fucking knock offs are travelling with a literal child? This movie looks like someone knew only the bare minimum about Borderlands - just what they hear about certain characters on the internet - and went 'Yeah, let's make a movie about that!". This is like fanfiction of fanfiction. This is a fucking atrocity, and I personally will NOT stand for it. Who else is gonna stay home and marathon Borderlands on August 9th, rather than going and being insulted by this piece of cinematic trash?

There's so many things wrong with the timeline of this. Krieg and Roland really shouldn't be with each other. Roland died before he was in game. Plus Kevin hart is to short to be Roland. And lilith creates fire not has a flame thrower

This movie is Borderlands in name only not in concept. They bought the rights purely to put fans in seats thinking the name alone will turn them a profit. I doubt they did any research on lore, character archetypes, or world building. The fact that they haven’t even revealed in the trailers who the villain is yet is bad. Is it the company Atlas executives or Crimson Lance leader Helga, putting us in the timeline of BL1, is it Hyperion corporation and Handsome Jack making it BL2, or did they make up a new villain just to piss us off more. Yeah, I can probably look it up in some article or IMDB, but the trailers should tell us.
