Tankman's Shield is a sniper rifle which has a weapon gimmick that is makes it useful after you kill mobs and then badasses. Basically it is like a weapon damage boosting kill skill that can stack for more damage on a gun.

I got one of these with the new Anointment Killing an enemy gives you 5% damage increase and reload speed for 25 seconds. This effect stacks. I think this is awesome on this weapon due to its perk.

Just a friendly note: this gun drops with the annointment with 1% damage added for each continuous shot on one enemy, so if you get this addition and do the same thing in this video for moze, your damage should double over time I have one with it so I'll be testing it out

The way to Snipe as Amara is to use TIes That Bind + Stillness Of Mind with a Phazerker mod. You can literally kill a whole crowd of enemies with a single bullet. This is basically Amara's personal mobbing sniper. 11 Bullets is like 20-30 kills for her.

btw, if you want to do it without moze (fade away 3 shot flak or something) then i believe that the gun will give you extra ammo when enemies hit the shield of your gun (because it's a hyperion weapon). or...that seems to be the case for me?

I forgot about this gun, never tried getting one back when M4 came out, but I just came to try and get a Kaoson and this gun dropped for me with 100% Cryo anoint and I’m using Zane so that’s nice I guess. Let’s see if I can get a Kaoson now with the Cryo...

I've been using Fl4k with Rakk Attack and a grenade that gives Terror on action skill end (Permanent Terror basically) and a shield that gives ammo regen while terrified. I am definitely going to farm this and try it out. Just run an entire area without reloading then reload once and destroy everything.

I had a mayhem 10 Tankmans shield drop from Wotan, had never seen it before. Luckily I picked it up. It seems to work quite well, but you gotta use some Moze or Fl4k ammo regen to get the max stacks.

Mayhaps you could try to Nukem a group of mobs, then quickly switch to the tankmans to potentially boost the stacks from that mag.

joltz you know theres a handsome jack cutout in the firing range? you can test weapons and their overall dmg on their. idk if you have it because i joined a friend and he didnt have a cut out and so i think you gotta do something in order too get it.

I really want this gun to be good, but any higher mayhem levels it doesn’t rip very well. You just can’t get any kills to stack it, using stack bot and it even has a Hyperion crit buff on that. Any recommendations?

Kind of insane how far snipers (basically all of them) drop off on M4. Killed a Tink Tank in Lectra City using this thing and a Monocle and it took more than half of my maxed out sniper ammo. It's a shame, honestly. I feel like they should just get a buff on M4, just so they can actually keep up with the pistols, shotguns, SMGs and what have you. I dunno, it seems like they'd need a considerable increase in base damage and crit. My Monocle does 14k with a critical hit which means that up to Mayhem 3 I can kill most enemies with a single mag (I have a small mag high damage variant). In Mayhem 4 that's usually not even a single segment on an enemies shield bar.

The whole day I was farming and thought I never got any of the new weapons. Once I found this weapon, I thought it was just another one of the vanilla legendaries. At first I thought it's special effect was that it had a insanely high weapon shield capacity (because it's name was tankman), but once that was disproved I just dropped it I think because I didn't bother to check it further. I complained the whole day about this without ever realizing my carelessness.

The weapons drop in mh4 from any bosses that has in their loot pool. Though there is one weapon you can only get the from the raid boss I think.
