I’m tired of seeing so many people complain about getting a new game purely because of the bad performance of the movie, the writers of the games have nothing to do with the movie so to anyone complaining about how bad the writing is gonna be shut up. Secondly to everyone saying it’s gonna be “half baked” or underwhelming, stop being so negative and wait, borderlands 3 was released 5 years ago and they’ve been in development of borderlands 4 for around 4 years (not confirmed but highly speculated). Any modding support is always welcome but I feel like for games like borderlands people could do so much with it, “dlc” expansions like you said would be sick, idk if you saw that fallout London that came out recently, a fully community done dlc for fallout 4, it’s amazing, some say even better than base fallout 4. I really think borderlands could have similar stuff, with even more rarities, more gun types, maps, etc. having built in mod support for BL4 is definitely on my wish list lol

Honestly, they should really just spend another couple years developing something. I don't think that I and a lot of others could handle another half-baked borderlands game. Although i think 3 was a bit over hated, it definitely had some issues, and wonderlands was pretty rough. There is so much potential here and it would be a shame to see it crash

I don't think it will be an announcement of BL4 at Gamescon. I think it's still a bit early for it. I would like it to be announced soon as I like all the BL games, except wonderlands but that's not really BL. Movie was trash but it does not have anything to do with the games IMHO.

Hey guys, this comment is about good things and complaints I have to make about the Borderlands franchise, as an introduction, I have to say that I've first played this game in CM2 which is the French for 5th grade, and that I am now entering CPGE (basically it'll be the beginning of year 1 after the BAC, which is the high school diploma in France), the franchise contributed both in good and in bad in my life during the thousands of hours I put in it -- not even mentioning the videos about it that I watched--, and made me what I am now (a degenerate, but a f*cking funny degenerate known by all for his degeneracy yet disliked by none in my highschool) These people that have been making the games have proven to provide an incredible gameplay with Borderlands 3, the only bad side (in the gameplay) of it in my opinion being the variety of boss mechanics and design, looking at Hyperius' "invincibility" phase that can be turned around or simply ended the intended way, the Warrior's principal weak points coming after shooting at him, and a lot more, I feel like they managed to replicate it well on Wotan, and I liked the Troy bossfight, but I mean in BL3/TTW they wanted to make bossfights (which is supposed to be something else than fighting an elite enemy) interesting with another way than like "discovering ways to beat it (or at least make it easier/faster)", I feel like every bossfight is more of a stat-check than anything else Tiny Tina Wonderlands' endgame was very lame but I got a lot of fun going into another 100% playthrough recently without diving onto the chaos chamber a lot -- this mistake might've been spot and corrected in the upcoming game by the development team, right? Personally, I'll simply need more true mechanics apart from the action skills (looking at Zero's B0re, Krieg's Bloodsplosion, Salvador's Money Shot, Axton has nothing but cheese for story bosses in terms of mechanics and haters will say otherwise, Maya's Singularity --shhhhh-- and multiplayer-axed skills, Gaige's Anarchy, and I skip alot but I at least gave 1 per character) And also better paced stories : The main quest is very very long, which is in my opinion a good thing, but I think I prefer the Borderlands 2 main questline, since this game isn't all that narrative, and the sole plots in Borderlands 2 were godlike (Sanctuary's attack, Roland's unexpected death, ...), whereas ffs when I first played Borderlands 3, I knew that always, after leaving each of those vault chambers, there would always be those twins picking at the characters, and this for-child-ish story is complemented by not-fun-jokes and basically no real backstory for the characters, I don't remember on searching lots of ECHO recordings apart from those in Ava quests, and the only backstory things I feel that I've got is those Eridian symbols and Typhon's journals (especially in Eden-6), while there are lots of ECHO journals for each main character in Borderlands 2, that are hidden, challenging you to get them all in order to understand better the character (but please in BL4 if Gearbox reimplements this, I hope they make it so that the ECHO journal pauses when a character talks, then comes back in, similarly to Cyberpunk 2077 where when you get into a fight on a phone call, V will stop the phone call to simply re-enter it after the fight to continue just where they paused the conversation) I feel like doing all side quests before any main quest a riddance rather than something fun like in Borderlands 2, and rewarding as it introduces lots of named characters for dedicated loot drops, and like Borderlands 2 quests weren't thaaaaat long and didn't get a looot of dialogues, like I feel like any Borderlands 3 sidequest is as annoying as the 1st quest you always do when entering Three Horns Divide. and yeah please bring back dialogue skipping and even make it a mechanic, such as the one implemented in Cyberpunk (this game once more) which still feels very immersive (feels like you ask your cyberware to shut off your brain to make time fast-forward then giving it the informations afterwards), because holy heck was I more watching some random stream than actually playing the game, and I only watch streams when mindless dialogues are told. EDIT : for all the looting process, I was unhappy with all games but yeah I mean it's still very satisfying to get what you want, my take on it would be : make world loot drops able to be more common (like in TTW with the lucky dices) and raise the base value of %chance a liiiittle bit higher than the one in borderlands 2 i feel like borderlands 2 dedicated loot drop rates were perfect, I mean I prefered the dedicated loot way more in BL2 than in the next games, the guaranteed loot is also a good idea, but make it for another rarity/kind (by kind i mean that we could imagine a normal manufacturer but that has a modified logo to meet the personality of the boss the item loots from) of item, like seraphs in BL2 given as a reward by killing very tough bosses rather than the only-obtainable-in-such-event legendary items, like the legendary items Cpt Haunt drops, they make it so any ghost can also give it at a very slow chance (but you're getting 1 in every like 3 enemies -- in my own feeling --) as another take in the dedicated loot drops, I loved how the Snowbound mod introduced a new way of looting dedicateds, basically any dedicated can spawn independently of another one if one source has multiple of them, meaning if one boss can loot 1 dedicated shield and 1 dedicated weapon, it can either drop 0, 1 or 2 of them, and we can imagine that in higher rarities (pearlescent), this mechanism is voided, making a boss loot only 1 pearlescent, and refuting any other legendary or pearlescent drop for the kill EDIT 2 : I loved how they made a passive for each class in TTW, and how the Armor, which we can compare to Borderlands' COM for those who didn't play TTW, essentially buffs that passive over simply boosting stats highly Also giving other ways to boost stats than Badass ranks such as how they made it in TTW (basically content-completion rather than playing the game for a long time and gaining a rank for the most part -- excluding the Challenges such as doing this boss or find all the Vault Symbols -- was also very good in my humble opinion, although the lack of "mechanics" it adds makes me feel that BL3 has mastered this the better with the possibility of doing this and that after this many points have been redeemed in a certain category of stats Dual-classing I think is kind of impossible in the Borderlands and traits with hero stats may be very inconsiderate to put, but a childish wish of mine would be to have some kind of subclass based on an Allegiance or uhhh well a playstyle, I feel like the only characters that got that kind of treatment without any kind of subclass (I mean that had a variety of gameplay) were Krieg, Zer0 and Amara but both before endgame, FL4K, maybe Zane but uhhhh unsure, and yeah this is it, Krieg and FL4K are essentially the 2 that can have different playstyles based on the builds you do with them, and that work in the endgame. Here my wish would be to have lots of meta builds with very different playstyles for one same character, like what they managed to pull off brillantly in TTW EDIT 3 : Made the introduction of this comment and **fuck it man I put more than a hour writing this comment holy sh*t I'm more inspired than during my philosophy BAC exam**

For u saying that there should be more build and playstyle variety in the end game i think there is, at least when it comes to mobbing, raid bosses are a diffrent thing. I might not be the most experienced player (my most played save file is op2 zer0, would be op3 if not for a fuking fire dot from the last enemy >:c ) but for mobbing u really can use any gun/playstyle, sure u will have to play around ur character's strengths and weaknesses, but if u wont have to do that what is the point of picking a class?

​@@hydra1plprivate942i get your point but, like, what I'm talking about is a true different playstyle using the character's strength, yeah sure any character has a lot of weapons they can play with but what I'd like is a different range of weapons if not for different playstyle, the only one I've seen doing this in Borderlands 2 is Salvador but this is mainly because of glitches and rocketjumping, or even different ways of playing, Zer0 can't play a lot with melee anymore in endgame (op10) since he might deal enough damage for one enemy but it'll be wayy less effective than hitting then shooting In Borderlands 3, they made it a bit better with truly unique weapons (Blade Fury giving Amara a flashy high damage build) and with different action skills and augments, but I feel like there are action skills and augments that are good, and others that are simply bad and that could never ever fit into a build that would be good or satisfying to play Amara has to use Phaselock, if it isn't for the dark technology of stacking 99 stacks to boost action skill damage using a legendary COM I forgot the name of, then using the action skill on a low hp enemy to kill it with tons of overkill damage and oneshot the boss with billions of damage Zane has to use his digiclone and MNTIS, I've seen some using Barrier instead of digiclone praying for something to happen, which happens, but only once every 3 boss runs Moze, well, it gives a different feeling but it isn't a different playstyle on swapping weapons with the bear, I simply shoot or charge before shooting, my action would still be to enter a bear and not move while it kills a boss by itself, and every build feels like bottomless mag Moze, I didn't see any popular build that didn't include this skill, and there were no other end-of-tree skill taken for most of the builds with her FL4K has a Rakk Attack build and a Fade away build, both feeling very different, even though I didn't see any Gravity Snare or Gamma Burst build, I felt like there were lots of things to do with him, as like even his rocket launcher build requires you to play the character differently from the classic Fade Away FL4K while using the same action skill To make sure, like any Borderlands player, to get popular builds I either go to Moxsy's channel or go to the Vault Hunter Hub and browse for them
