@ Its been a long long while since Ive played too. Ive kept up with the game news fairly well and have been thinking about giving it another shot. Simply to play what I have and have some good dogfights rather than try to grind everything out. I would be interested in seeing you play again thats for sure, Im sure the majority of your viewers would agree

Funny I just did this mission last night! Though guess I've lucked out and had a sybmarine too, it couldn't reach to torpedo launching position but detected the hostile ships right away, making things a lot easier than it could otherwise be!

Seems like a very stripped down and/or an unfinished (gameplay wise anyway) version of the Battle-class, since most of the weapons aren't even useable and it lacks a few other radars. They'd also probably have Seacats aboard, too.

There is a mod that activates the Battle's 40mm bofors and torpedoes, I think also Squid ASW launchers and depth charges

This game seems so buggy for everyone. I hope they are able to fix things.

Thing is that it's not always clear what is a bug and what is a mechanic that just isn't well explained at this time. The Battle class are 1940's boats, it unclear if they are still using 1940's radar or if they are running modernized radar, if the latter then bug, if the former . . . well WW2 surface search radar wasn't always reliable so there could be a mechanic in play there that I just don't understand. At this stage of early access it's not easy to work out which is which.

@@MagzGTV I was trying to do some research since Badr and Khaibar aren't random names they were real ships, and all I could find was some spotty references to being 'modernized with mutual assistance funds before being transferred to Pakistan in 1956' So I honestly donno if they still had their late war sets or anything newer. Khaibar definitely would not since she was lost in the 71 Indo-Pakistani war. Weird thing is that they're listed as still having their 2xQuintuple 533mm/21 inch torpedo racks and Squid ASW mortars as their other major weapons systems but I have also noticed that Sea Power tends to be a bit random on what it will let you play with on certain ships, like the differences in what you had available and what Jingles did on the LPH when you both ran the hormuz-straight mission.

I'm sure, and even if there was, no sonar active or passive and no anti submarine weapons on those ships, just the QF 4.5 inch turrets. If there was a sub there is absolutely nothing I could do about it anyway.
