Great video and good to see the Dorises on the water. I have a daughter that loves to come kayaking with me but she can't really swim so wont come into the salty stuff if she can't put her feet on the bottom. When I point out that the fresh water lake (an old shingle pit) is 6m/20" deep which is deeper than much of the harbour her argument falls apart somewhat. I can confirm that kayaking is great rehab for a crook back along with a low carb diet to lower inflammation. After 45 years of trouble and the last 23 years with a partly paralysed left leg with no feeling the change over the last year has been remarkable. I have got enough feeling in the left leg now to balance the tippy yak and paddle for hours. Astonishing looking back as three years ago I could be on my feet for 20 minutes every third day and was resigned to the rest on my days in a wheelchair. Never, ever give up!

Hi Gadget, sorry I thought I'd already replied but can't see it. Thanks for your great comments as usual, it was a fabulous day on the water. The girls absolutely loved it, although all said it was the biggest seas they had been in. It's lovely that your daughter is joining with you on your watery adventures. I'm sure her confidence will grow once she realises her buoyancy aid will keep her afloat without swimming 🏊♀️ I agree and can also attest to the benefits of kayaking for back rehab, my surgeon was gobsmacked at my quick recovery and the amount of strength and flexibility I have retained so quickly. Thanks again and with you both the best and safest of trips together. Loads more video's to come very soon so keep watching...Cheers

If there's something that Geoff can't resist, it's rocks, some rolling waves and kayaks! Keep on rock and rolling !

Hi Sam and thanks, yes it was brilliant day!! The conditions were outstanding and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! It sounds stupid but I feel like I absorb some of the energy being released with wave action against the rocks 😂 the closer you get tge more you absorb 🤣🤣👍 More great stuff to come soon...share the love 👍👍

Fabulous conditions, challenging and fun. Great skills through the gaps, much better than my attempt this week which ended with a capsize.

Hello my friend! The sea was a bit choppy, it sometimes made you cross the border between the rocks. Have a nice day!

Beautiful day on the water in some challenging conditions well done 👏. But sad but not surprising to see the skies filled with the effects of geo engineering 😢

Hi Geoff. Peter here. I just loved this day trip. The ultimate sea kayaking day trip. What perfect conditions to test and advance ones skills.Such superb coastline with amazing variation. The girls must have also had a great day out. I certainly did and I was just watching in the comfort of my lounge room. Well videoed and super editing. How do you manage to capture the whole day? What sort of battery life do you get? Do you change out batteries at the lunch break? Regardless, I really enjoyed this adventure. Thanks so much for sharing.....Peter

Hi Peter, sorry I thought I'd replied yesterday but think I was interrupted half way through and lost what I'd typed...anyway St Abbs is a fantastic little trip, short but very enjoyable with always loads to see whether it's flat calm or lots of movement. The coastline is beautiful with its folded rock strata, miriad of stacks, caves, gullies and reefs and being a Marine Reserve has loads of wonderful wildlife both above and below the surface. Yeah, the conditions were a lot bigger than I was expecting as I'd actually told the girls it would be flat calm 😂 but this was due to the strong tide race against the northerly breeze and resultant confusion rebounding over the reefs etc. Once they got 'settled in' they were fine, started enjoying the challenges and really got to grips with things, a brilliant day!! I use a GoPro with a mouth mount, so if I see anything interesting or could have lots of action it's in my mouth and set on video. Batteries can be a bit of an issue and GoPro's themselves are unreliable often freezing up (can't switch off or on ) I ive returned around 3 or 4 for similar issues, but I usually get around this by finding somewhere calm (if poss) off with the spraydeck to work within the cockpit, unscrew the camera from it mount remove its 'floaty' foam buoyancy cover, to access the battery door, open an remove/disconnect the battery then rebuild it all, that fixes the issue. Replacement batteries...when I remember 😂 I carry a spare, to change at lunchtime as even with the longer life 'enduro' battery they still won't last a full day if its a really interesting trip and loads of action, I shoot in 4K at 60 frames a second, horizon leveling and hypersmooth stabilisation switched on so it does eat the batteries. I'm pleased you are both still enjoying the adventures and hope you continue to do so. If there's anything you'd like to see me include...or exclude please let me know your feedback is important and I appreciate it. Cheers, stay safe and best regards Geoff

Don't take this as negative criticisme but in my opinion the three girls are paddling with their hands too close together. When you hold a paddle on your head, the elbows should be more or less 90 degrees, which allows you to put more power on a stroke. Never the less they performed very well in that choppy water and they don't seem affraid at all to me. Very nice trip. Such occasions we don't have in Belgium.

I totally agree Josef, unfortunately I didn't have anything to do with their development, also two are primarily river paddlers who usually use shorter blades. We must have learn't at the same place 😆👍 Thanks for you comments and hope you continue watching my video's loads more to be uploaded in a few days. Please consider subscribing then you won't miss out on new content. Cheers and thanks for watching 👍
