Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Those "clody" fields might benefit from a high speed tillage tool which throws that material around much more aggressively

TRIMEC is best product for your lawn. Apply Spring and Fall ! You have fertilizer there at farm. Your Field Roller might be too heavy and kill grass. I CANT WAIT TO SEE LUSH GOLF COURSE LAWN 👍 as Landscaper and Sod Farmer

Put the carbon cartridges in a sealed bag when you aren’t using them. They will continue to filter air if not sealed. Makes them last longer.

Be careful wishing for rain. Some of us have to watch KZbin farmers while waiting for our own fields to dry out. Here in central Nebraska, we've had 3.5" since Sunday, just about the time it looks even close to going back to the fields it rains.

Where are you going now for anhydrous. Was Munson the place that closed ??? You are having a great season,. can't really complain much. Take your time and stay safe. I hate that dam gas. Much nicer and safer in a cab tractor. Blew a line years ago on an open station A C 190 series 3 . You find out how fast you can move 😆😆

Are you gonna run new irrigation system to jump start the corn 🌽 or is moisture fine without 🤔 ? P.S. Are you glad i made you buy a Booster Jump Box ⚡️ ? Idk if you bought a big enough one. Mine has a light 🔦 Jump Cables, air compressor & USB port & cigarette lighter plug. Great for charging phones 📱 etc. 👍

Why only pull 1 tank from supplier? I've always pull 2 trailers when going to and from field.

A lot of places it is illegal to pull doubles loaded. I know in Ohio it is legal only if they are Empty.

It may be “overworked” (maybe not) but, it is just once. This is a new farm where you have “fix” problems from the previous owners. You won’t don’t this every year. Also, you kinda have to expect the first year not to be as good as you have to do all of this. Keep up the good work. I hope this farm works out great and hopefully, you all can pick up more acres this year.
