Sweet looking spreader. It's always nice spreading it yourself because you know what got what.

Congratulations Brock , your a great guy very deserving of being hired full time. Nathan and the fire department are very lucky to have you. Oats and used oil go a long ways in keeping the spreader looking like new. Nice purchase for BVF .

Might need to purchase a Killebrew trailer for the Fert... We used them back in the day. Pay attention to the dumping order when you don't have a truck under it... I almost messed up big time...

Congrats Brock, if its like most fire departments around here they just work like 2 24hr shifts a week so he should have plenty of time for farming too!

Most UK farms that work with solid ferts use bagged product using 600 or 1000kg bags and a telescopic loader to handle these and other products on farm.

If spreader dump height is a problem, look into a front dump bucket for your loader. We have one on our backhoe that we load our John Deere spreader with

Brock my local fire department is 48 on 96 off . I asked for a tanker driver job . 96 hours to go stay at the lake and fish would be perfect

Why don't you combine at an angle to the rows? Gonna wear the cutter bar more by following the rows.
@North-cb2vkАй бұрын
There is no choice for the headlands, but to follow the edge. If you look at the part of the video where Nathan talks with Brock, he is cutting at a slight angle to the rows.

Looks like someone's gonna be busy spreading. We have a old lime belt we dump into to load fert in the field. Haven't done it for awhile. Ruins ur dump trailer belt etc. And I'd rather get tillage done timely and want the fert done before tillage. Not enough man power. Since weve stopped using anhydrous and went to uan we hardly ever have to lime

@davidmcgee4525Ай бұрын
What would be the difference in cost per acre, between your sprayer, plane, & drone? Not exact, just ball park,.
@M8StealthАй бұрын
On my farm, hiring an airplane is $12/ac and a sprayer is $8/ac. Would guess a drone is around $10/ac.

The inverted V inside the box? It helps prevent bridging of the material
