Thank you Rob. I love Borealis. I have the Adraga, the Portus Cale, and put a deposit on the Sinta (blue dial). This is a wonderful company and I've read that their customer service is outstanding too. My family is from Portugal 🇵🇹 so I have a special liking for Borealis 👍

i own the estoril 300 and love it . I would have jumped on the sintra if borealis had make a 38.5mm . 41.5 mm without a dive bezel! but it seems they made an effort by making the dial and bezel smaller. can you give us those dimensions?

Love the RR edition, definet homage to the Seamaster, my GMT 50th is a staple in my collection. I'd love to own a AT but the dials don't do it for me. The light blue one sunray on the other hand is so stunning, can't wait to receive mine!

for a divewatch its thin but it depends what you compare it to. If you compare it to a bit more dressy watches like a tissot prx or christopher ward c63 then its not that thin. those are around 11mm but those ofcourse dont have 200m water resistance

Rob, I was able to get in on the pre-order and I went with the red dial, because I've been looking for a good red dialed watch. The watch came in and there wasn't anything wrong with it, but I just wasn't feeling it. It looks great under the lights, but in person I was asking myself why I bought it!?😶😶 Then on a whim, I was looking at Borealis on ebay and there was a RR edition. I won it and I've been wearing it for two days! My feelings are 180 degrees from the other watch! So much so, that I have a hard time believing they are essentially the same. The design of the RR edition really elevates an already strong design! I wish the red one I got had the indices and arabics also. The indices on the standard version are too small.

Interesting that the dial texture is identical to my Zelos Spearfish copper...I wonder if the same factory has been pressing them with the same tooling. Nice piece, always been a big fan of my Cascais...Borealis make good watches.

Great quality hi-beat movement for the price - actually that Chinese PT5000 hi-beat in your prototype is also supposed to be pretty good. Love everything about the dials - texture, colours, hands and indices. Love the red dial - I don't have a red face watch.

I pre-ordered the red one yesterday. I do agree, it is a stunning piece and there aren't too many red faced steel sport watches. I actually prefer the miyota 9015 over the 2824/pt5000. It is more modern, is way slimmer and I've always had winding issues with the 2824, either the rotor bearings being loose or the winding bridge grinding itself to death. Miyotas were always just fine other than the louder spinning noise (which I believe has its own charm).

Put a deposit down for the RR edition. The hands look different on the RR edition. I hope they are bigger than what the arrow hands look like on the other versions. Beautiful watches but the hands kind of disappear a little. The blue sunburst with orange second hand was also calling my name.
