Just bunch of irrelevant industry standard stuff to use it as an excuse for the ignorant when it comes to game dev, they are not doing anything ground breaking, pretty standard stuff for todays video game devlopment, they just open it to use it as an excuse of how long it will take for the game to never see the light of release.

Now that I understand that they are doing some cutting edge stuff and actually creating new ways of doing things, I see why it's taking so long why bugs can be quite complex to solve. Even if Star Citizen or Squadron 42 isn't very good as a game, the technical improvements they have made for games in their engine will probably be worth it. They could quite easily sell access to their engine once it's done. I look forward to the release. It's a shame critics won't watch these technical videos so they can understand why they are wrong.

It's funny how the improved faces with recent tech look *so* much better that they make the original trailer faces look like total crap. It's funny, because - seriously - the original faces were fine; In fact they were great! But the tech has just improved so much that you cannot un-see the improvement and at that point you'll accept nothing less.

The improvements in the facial and character models over the years has been quite fun to watch. Looking forward to see just how much interaction we can have with the characters on the ship and exactly how much complexity goes into those relationships.

Believable NPCs are really hard to make. Bethesda NPCs are a good example, despite how much they improve every generation. People are so complex that even simple people are hard to simulate.

The improvements are massive, can't wait to see what it'll look like when it's "finished". The side to side of old colton and new colton, wow! I agree on the hair point. It's always the most disappointing part of characters, I wonder what solution they'll come up with, maybe a new way to render them that makes better results than cards.
