I do not speak the language but it goes something like this. Mister Borge is invited to this interviewing program. I think some is spoken in Dansk (Danish language) and Swedish hence the subtitles. Those languages are like brothers, almost like American and English. Interviewer says that the cameraman knows mister Borge. Borge does not understand it the First time and makes it funny. He invites cameraman on stage because he can play as Borge asumes as an amature. Cameraman is very polit and 'star' truck and tells a bit about that he was young and startend to play piano. Something about his mother and Borge makes a joke. He asked if family is in the studio. His daughter is with him. They chit chat on to play a little (or short) piece of music. Like in a joking manner of playing a little piano. Borge invites him to the piano and every time cameraman 4 sits down Borge asked a question and due to his pollitnes he stands up every time, comedy assured. Cameraman begins to play but every high note / accord is off. Some pieces are played wrong thats why Borge said (i parafrase) 'don't be nervous after this nobody will ask you to play a second time '. Thus after leaving stage Borge wants to check the piece and fondles in the piano chair to get the 'correct' sheet music. Borge plays it and discovers that the high notes are correctly played by the cameraman(!). So after all the cameraman wás right all along. Not really though, it is a sketch and Borge did this alone in one of his shows where he plays it wrong and says something about 'the music paper says so! Written by Christian Mozart (which is the actual joke like a fake copy of this music piece). Like i said i do not speak these languages.

I only understand most of the Swedish: the setup is that supposedly the "cameraman" took lessons from Borge when he was a small child back in '38 and agrees to play Blue Danube that he taught him -- so therefore he plays it just like Borge does in his act including the same bad notes...

@@gligeti And Borge says he cant remember that he had the cameraman as a piano pupil - until he starts to play - then Borge explains "It's him!"

You're not far off. The cameraman not only knows Mr. Borge but he is a former student of Mr. Borge but Mr. Borge Doesn't remember him. Then they go back and forth about what house number they lived in and Mr. Borge askes if the cameraman still plays. The camerama says he does and he would love to play one of the peices that Mr. Borge taugt him back then.

I don't understand why they are speaking Swedish here, or trying to, when both Eddie Skoller (the presenter), Victor Borge and the camera man are all Danish :D

the tall man says he had lessons with Borge when he was a little boy. Borge cannot remember him until he plays the dodgy notes in the piece!

Gad vide om hele dette indlæg var instuderet? Jeg tænker på at Borge ender med at spille samme klaverstykke af Strauss med de samme “fejl” Han har vel forberedt sig...

Det var det. Jeg har nummeret på en plade der er væsentligt ældre end udsendelsen, og bortset fra et par detaljer, og at det er en højskolelærer fra Ulfborg der er den gamle "elev", er det det samme nummer.
