More about blowdown interference- separating the cylinders that can push exhaust into another. The boom boom boom happens either way, just more mass flow to drive the turbo due to less cylinder contamination/residuals (and shows up in VE too)

i like the boom boom boom 😅

Does this limit power output at all? Id imagine the twin scroll could act as a bottle neck at high rpm

The AR on a twin scroll housing is usually bigger

How much does ball bearing vs journal bearing effect spool?
@motoiq6 сағат бұрын
Ball bearings spool up to 20% faster.

I thought 1 &3 went together since 1& 4 are next to each other in order so there's no pulse competition

It's a flat plane crank.

How can I use this with a 5 cylinder such as an 07k? Or would it be better to get an AGP v band hot side for the EFR turbos. Since the firing pattern is different than that of a 4 cyl / 6 cyl

my suggestion.. contact borg

@ They are no help unfortunately. I think it’s best I go with a custom designed turbine housing due to the firing pattern of the 5 cyl to support twin scroll. Have no idea what company to reach out to though

Can't effectively separate/pair the cylinders and usually use v-band. Iroz did some interesting stuff with 5cyl and divided T4 as a "variable AR"/quick spool valve, but more of a cool tidbit than suggestion

Probably not as intended.

Discreet or distinct 😂
@motoiqКүн бұрын
It is discreet.

@DJToneRI. I think he said "discrete", not "discreet". Google discrete vs discreet. Discrete: Means separate, distinct, or individual. It's often used in technical and scientific contexts, such as mathematics and research. For example, you might describe a computer's graphics card as discrete if it's a separate graphics processing unit (GPU) and graphics memory. Discreet: Means cautious, unnoticeable, or inconspicuous.
