The only episode of the "Thriller" anthology series to fall into public domain.
This episode is directed by and is starring John Newland (the Host and director of One Step Beyond). It is nice to see him as the lead actor in this.

I agree. So much nasty stuff in the shows of today, cursing using the F word, the GD words and others, not to mention the nudity. Nothing is left to the imagination anymore. Plus the acting is usually pretty bad compared to the old stars of yesteryear. If only we could turn back the clock to when tv had family shows everyone could watch with classy and talented actors and you got thrills, chills and scares from the stories instead of realistic gore.

Boris Karloff as Colonel March was a tour we force! No violence, sex, cursing, or nudity. Just a great script with great actors and the experience of being transported into the time and place of the story. On a differ note, Boris was a great friend of Frank Sinatra. Boris would visit him and bring freshly cut flowers from his garden. In real life Boris was a gentleman and was very polite and well mannered. He was a genius.

Ok, the familiar was something from The Outer Limits but still creepy enough to suit me. I love John Newland, such a class act. His series One Step Beyond was fabulous and he was the perfect host. I like how Antoinette Bower is so convincingly grandiloquent when she says lines like, “I don’t know. I don’t know.” Ms. Bowers, much like longtime soap opera and tv drama actress Judith Chapman, has appeared on literally dozens of tv shows, including: “The Fugitive,” “Hogan’s Heroes,” “The Invaders” and “Mission:Impossible.” She’s like the “Harold Stassen of American Network Television.” And, what about Austrian actor. Reggie Nalder? He had a long career, portraying creepy and ghoulish characters. He was great as the ruthless assassin in Alfred Hitchcock’s, “The Man Who Knew Too Much.” Mr. Nalder would have been great as a warlock or evil sorcerer on “Dark Shadows.”
