In the manga, only a few silhouettes of the first Gotei Thirteen members were shown. The first Gotei Thirteen were depicted for the first time in the JUMP comic released this week, and I was hoping to possibly see them in the anime, but they appeared in the original battle scene and the ending, so thanks to Kubo Taito and the anime staff for providing such great fan service😍😍😍

Bro, we JUST got to see the OG 13 Captains for the first time in a color page from the most recent Shonen jump. The fact that they went so far as to animate them is astounding to me. We've had an inkling that Kubo was planning to bring the manga back after he released a new chapter for the first time in close to a decade last year and it ended on a pretty heavy cliffhanger. The fact that Kubo made brand new designs for all of the OG captains AND that they showed up in the anime seems like even stronger evidence that Kubo is going to pick the manga back up at some point and that these characters may have some relevance to it. These are wild times were living in as Bleach fans.

THIS is how you write a war arc. Keep a clear seesaw tension, the villains win 80% of the time like the new norm, then the heroes come in clutch 20% of the time just to try and bring back hope, with every minor win for the heroes, the villains get major wins! This way, the upset later down the line hits that much harder. Even the main cast can get fodderised, this way it truly feels like war, unpredictable and good for absolutely nothing. I love it.

Yama is gone, Byakuya is passing his last words to Ichigo, it is the first time to see the tear drop from such a proud and arrogant man who was begging Ichigo to just protect the soul society. He is also my most favorite character in all times. Hope he is still alive as we have nothing to lose any more.

Witness someone pompous and proud as he is crying because he failed his subordinates and his sister hits hard. I loved the extra scenes of the first Gotei 13. And Ichigo's arriving in Soul Society was fantastic. Studio Pierrot is doing an amazing job with Bleach. Bankai!

"Kurosaki Ichigo, you're special because you're half human and half-" Before Aizen could finish his sentence, Isshin stepped in, and as an audience we're suspect "Half soul reaper"... But then I realised, Soul Reapers couldn't reproduce with living beings... if Isshin used a gigai, that would technically turn him into a human... then it occured to me, what Aizen really wanted to say

to add a few stuff you might’ve forgot: remember when aizen told ichigo he’s a sould soul reaper and a …. then isshin interfered well now we know, thats why aizen is so interested in ichigo. also dont worry we gonna have a lot of backstories including masaki. another thing is aizen completely fused with his zanpakto as stated in his last fight with ichigo therefore he can now completely skip the “i have to show you my sword release to put you under genjutsu”. ichigo being a quincy was also foreshadowed from literally the first episode ever and that is his bed having a quincy cross symbol and also in his last transformation “mugetsu” having similar looks and power to yuwach.

8:05 Actually even if he were at full power-he's not because he's missing an arm here-Yamamoto would still get destroyed by Yhwach. Even if he didn't get his Bankai stolen. Yamamoto actually stopped training at one point because he was the strongest by FAR (aside from Squad 0), so there was no need to train anymore. He even mentioned during his fight against Wonderweiss that no Shinigami ever came close to his power in over a thousand years. Yhwach did the exact opposite. For almost a full millenium (999 years) every time a Quincy died, all their powers were added to his own. The dude was AFK grinding 😂.

At 5:12 mark you asked, “who are you?” That captain is one of the 2 original gotei 13 still serving as captain now. Well, she’s last of the remaining original now that Yamaji died. Yhwach calls Ichigo his son since Masaki is a pure blood Quincy, and pure bloods are the decedents and closest related Yhwach, as compared to Ishida who is a half blood.

This was another fantastic epsiode!! 👏👏👏 As a manga reader couldn't be happier animation was peak as always and loved the OG Gotei 13 scence at the beginning!!🔥🔥 As well as the Ichigo vs Yhwach mini fight which was anime orginal by the way! That ending sequence change showing the drawings Kubo drew for Jump of the Original Gotei and then seeing the new generation bruh then the fire flickering untill it went out representing Yama that was touching and just really well done. 👍

There is a couple of elements missing before it gets told, it fits in the grand scheme of things of when Ichigo (and us) learn it (I hope that isn’t too spoilery). Yo, Kyouka Suigetsu really saved our butts. For complete context, When Yhwach interacted with Aizen he made sure Koyoka Suigetsu screws him over. And he altered his perception of time, wasting as much time as they possibly could... I can't believe Aizen saved the soul society...

5:56 This is why Yhwach (Lloyd Lloyd) was confused when he saw Yamamoto's Bankai. When Yamamoto activated his Bankai, *all* the flames completely vanished. In this flashback, you can see that his sword is still on fire despite being in Bankai. We know that he's in Bankai because he activates Zanka no Tachi: West at 6:11.

1. That's why they couldn't steal his bankai, it's partially quincy, doesn't work on quincies. 2. We got a bit of a Romeo and Juliet story japanese style, 2 mortal enemies clans people falling in love, resulting Ichigo. We all knew Ichigo's parents were a shinigami and a human, but quincies are human. I wonder what Ishida will say when he'll find out Ichigo is half quincy!😆 3. Yes Unohana is the only one surviving out of that original 13 squad alongside Yamamoto, she will be affected the most by his death most likely, as she did like him discard her bloody old ways in lieu of healing people. 4. Yuha-baha said the 13 squad died that day 1000 years back because that was the last day they were ruthless, then they become soft like Yamamoto their leader or Unohana... the question now is... how will Unohana react to her oldest pal being killed, will she still remain the calm, lovely healing captain or discard that part of her and revert back to...
