The added scene of Sasakibe being the one to do a sneak attack (thus giving Yamamoto an advantage in defeating Yhwach 1000 years ago) literally stabbing Yhwach in the back, was so cool with the hiding in the pile of corpses. And it adds to the narrative significance of him being the first Shinigami casualty of the war. Makes sense Yhwach would want Sasakibe to be taken out first now.

I liked the attention to detail, you can see how badly damaged Zangetsu already was during the small blade lock between them. It was cracked and filled with chips, add a bit of "misfortune" and the blade is done for.

He can refocus when his friends(usually Orihime specifically) is in direct danger but he folds pretty quickly when he detects someone has much more power than him. The Fullbring arc was the epitome of that when he broke down crying in front of Ginjo before getting his power back.

@@somedudewatchintv5297 I think that's just his perception of power and realisation that this or that character is stronger than him but in the fullbring arc it was an emotional hit to ichigo it wasn't really about him being a coward he felt betrayal from ginjo and the others who he thought were "helping" him get his powers back and before that he was shut down by his fam and friends defending tsukishisma against him. So that is different but yeah getting scared is a part of his character doesn't change the fact that he still stands against however hurt his loves ones or precious places knowing they are still stronger.

Some people noted that the sound effect when he is running is similar to a arrancar Sonido and he appear to use Pesquisa when he sensed the spiritual pressures disappearing which I think it's very nice to show his hollow powers being used naturally with his Shinigami powers
