Born To Crimp is a technical slab #rockclimbing route in the Amphitheater area of Pilot Mountain. To get here, turn left after descending the Three Bears Gully until you arrive a large cathedral-like area with lots of tall overhanging rock.
The Born To Crimp #climb is immediately to the right of the first corner #climbing route called Crackin' Up and begins with small edges and crimps up to the first bolt. Stick clipping is advisable.
The middle section is a bit easier with more positive and larger holds, but there's another tricky section up high just before the end. Sometimes the top of this climb can be a little wet if there was recent rain.

That stresses me out! I enjoy bouldering but never advanced to climbing outside with ropes. Would you say you are more runner than climber or more climber than runner :)

Haha! Outdoor rope climbing is definitely a bit more ‘extreme’ then its indoor counterpart! I’d say I’m more of a runner then climber, but to an extent, would admit I like to climb more. The two sports are vastly different (ultra endurance vs. shorter lengthened physical efforts) but I’ve never ‘dreaded’ going outdoor climbing (or even just going climbing in the gym). I’d say I climb more recreationally and so I never have the added pressure of certain performance expectations like during races - because I don’t ever partake in climbing competitions. I definitely still try to push myself and achieve new benchmarks, but my overall approach is more relaxed. I still absolutely love it though. I hope that at least sort of made sense. I’ll be posting more videos of the climbing trip this was taken on in the coming days/weeks, including the hardest climb I’ve ever tried outside! Thanks for watching as always Chris!
