It's better for long-distance/moto-camping and I can do any jeep trail that I normally do, but the trade off is it it definitely takes a little more effort and you have to pick your lines a little more carefully. You should've talk about maintenance schedule, 1000km for most of these bikes, exept for the 690 enduro/701, 10,000km. Its an important information to make your choice. Fuel range too, you don't talk about it, for example, the CRF300 Rally has 400km of range, wich is more than 50% more range than all the other dual sport you mentioned. Should have talk about the spied KTM 390 Rally as well, maybe we'll see it in 2023.

This needs to be caveated. The KTM/Husky maintenance schedules are for racing conditions. If you're dual-sporting or ADV riding, you can stretch those intervals out considerably. RTWPaul just posted his maintenance schedule for his KTM 500 EXC, which is now over 50,000 miles on the original motor, and he changes his oil between 35-55 hours and anywhere between 2500 and 3500 miles. I do 30-50 hours myself on my 530 EXC and FE501S. Oh, and piston replacements at 100 hours or whatever are also only for racing conditions, my 530 is at 8300 miles/350 hours and my 501 is 9500 miles/450 hours, both on the stock pistons.

I'm gonna purchase my first ever motorcycle, a brand new ADV by Italian now Chinese owned refunded brand MOTO MORINI Model X-CAPE... I was wondering wether or not you would have been mentioning about it 🙃. Great to see videos like yours. Ending it, I genuinely thought of what you would say my custom electric bike looks like. 😄 I will be following the channel I watched other videos actually I'm already subscribed eheh!!! Really great job. Thank you

Glad to see the rally inspired mechanical unicorn bikes are starting to show up. I hope the KOVE inspires other manufacturers to get they're 💩 together and start making sub 10k rally bikes. That is the Unicorn bike for me . .. However God Bless the KLR and the Dr650

Great to see some of the smaller companies such as Beta, SWM and Bimoto getting some spotlight. You should throw TM in there too. The have a dual sport that’s street legal in most states within the US, legal in Ca too. Those smaller brands have a smaller carbon footprint and get away with allot more than the larger brands when it comes to emissions. Big reason why Beta and Tm riders love their bikes and leave them mostly stock, but ktm and Honda owners are all buying exhausts and ecus to get them uncorked and running well.

Yea I left TM out because of no 50 state SL models but I should have tossed it in there real quick because its a nice bike I tried to get a loaner for a supermoto track day but we couldnt make it happen maybe next time

Nice video, At one time I thought about the Bimota, even phoned them 18 months ago, was told they will be in dealers within 6 months, and asked if I wanted to put a deposit down. I didn't. Since then nothing. I am in Europe and there are many duel Sports available in the states that are not available over here which is a pity. If I go to heaven and can take one bike with me that will send all KTM's to purgatory, I will have a bottle of 2 stroke oil attached to my Maico 700.

I have a KTM 300XCW and my wife is trying to talk me into buying the 2024 KTM 1290 Adventure R. I was a MX racer as a kid and quit when I was in the 250 expert class. Not into street riding but, owned a Honda VTX 1800. Will see how it goes. Nice bike when I went looking last weekend. 👍🤙

GPX Moto has several models that come close to the premium brands at a more budget price. The FSE 250e air cooled 6 speed carburetor 4 stroke, the FSE300r liquid cooled 4 stroke EFI 6 speed and the FSE 450r liquid cooled 4 stroke EFI 6 speed. All models have full LED lighting, electric start and fully adjustable long travel suspension. All come with fully street legal equipment but are not legal in all states.

Great video man! The Bimota will be coming to the states, hopefully this spring from what I've heard from their Rep. I'm sure you didn't mention much of the Sherco sef line up as they aren't street legal off the showroom floor but in many states it's not hard to get any of the sef Shercos registered for road use. There's not a lot out there for videos and such on them though so it's hard to say what people really think about them. I'm currently stuck on trying to decide between a Beta 500 rr-s the Sherco 500sef factory and the KTM 350 XC-F factory edition as any of these can be registered in South Carolina.

I really enjoyed this video. So many cool adventure bikes. The bad part is I have no idea who sells them, and if I did, they probably wouldnt have any or many in stock. They OTD price would be about 2K or more above MSRP. Also some would be hard to find parts for them or someone to work on them also. I would still like to see some of these in person.

I'm 4 months into owning a Kove 525x. It's a 500cc ADV in the BMW GS vain (at least in looks). The same manufacturer produces a 500f model. Same engine and great styling but carries the Co-Love branding. I would have gone for the 500f but the huge "COLOVE" plastered down the side of the tank put paid to that. I'm super happy with my 525x. It does just what it says on the tin and has not missed a beat in the time I've had it. The only problem is that 450 Rally looks REAL tempting!! Ha Ha Nice vid 👍

@@BornAGoon Hi, thanks for asking. It's great! The biggest sell is the value proposition, it's a lot of bike for the money! Otherwise it's a reasonably fair effort at a mid-range adv. I've had it up some mountain tracks and dropped it several times. So far, nothing has dropped off! Ha ha

Here in Wisconsin, we get to enjoy tight trail riding in our beautiful forests. I love it. #1 bike requirement: light weight. Send the DR650 down the road, get the 350 EXC-F. Losing 100# from my very heavily modded DR makes all the difference. The Beta looks to be equal if not better for reasons noted by others, but if you're a cheap-a$$ like me, good luck finding a RR-S used. I paid 5,xxx for my '16 350 with super low hrs. Service intervals a) at an old-guy trail pace, don't need to be as short as at a race pace, and b) the hours don't add up that fast when you do a few rides a year, and c) provides an excuse for quality shop time, which is a plus in my book. But Beta if you can swing a new one, sure, no argument from me. Trails = < 250lbs. Plain and simple.
