I think doing a 1 hour episode once a week is probably the best way to go about it short of doing the game like every other day because they're so damn long. Especially with Soulsborne games, an hour is probably a good chunk of an area that lets you explore a good bit and also gives you the chance to attempt a boss multiple times in one part.

Sand has consistently been one of the most annoying textures I've ever had to deal with throughout my life, so I can't relate to that particular one though.

I love learning about all this stuff that I never would have even heard about without Astro Bot. Apparently the name Dewey was learned from a collaboration between Detroit: Become Human and Amazon Alexa. You can ask Alexa about the fish and learn some info about it. (All this info is from the Detroit: Become Human Fandom page.) Shimbun is the old spelling of the Japanese word Shinbun which is Japan's newspapers. Casey is right about the assessment of Taneo as part of the story involves cheating on his wife with a coworker. (That turns out to be a criminal and/or terrorist.) I am not confident on the God of War info so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or left out important details. (No spoilers though please.) The book is a reference to a scene in Ragnarök but I don't see any specific references to what the book is or the description in Astro Bot. That's cool at 2:09 you can see some game design in action. The enemy had turned into that slime quite a while ago but they didn't start attacking Ian until he looked at them. He didn't move at all but because they were now on screen he was considered in range. I do think it was stupid that they forced motion controls in Star Fox Zero but it really is a good game. The controls also aren't anywhere near as bad as the internet makes it out to be, it's just that nobody gave the game a shot. (Partially because no one owned a Wii U.) I personally got used to the controls by the end of the first run which takes about the same amount of time as Star Fox 64. I can see why it wouldn't be good for a series though because that console was definitely not made with the thought of other people watching. (Even people in the same room.) Ian was right to skip on that level but I don't want to say why yet. 24:38 That is new, I never saw that when I was playing. I think that would be a good way to keep a series consistent and (hopefully) not too overwhelming for your schedules.

Here’s a funny thing about Sol Badguy. His animation shows him using his Dragon Punch (the same type of move as Shoryuken from Street Fighter), which is a consistently incredible move across the series and is one of the best moves in all of Strive specifically according to my friend who absolutely adores Guilty Gear and fighting games as a whole, so him using it after getting hit makes it all the greater

While to my memory Casey has never brought up Mr. Beast on the channel, I think Ian might have once back during Pokemon Legends Arceus? Or maybe I'm misremembering. I had one of those bead sliding toys at home as a kid, too! Still played with the ones that spawned in the doctor's offices, though. Wow, we're really getting close to the end now. Super-challenge level unlocked and everything. I'm excited but will also be sad to see this adorable game end! I'd watch an hour-long BLG video once a week.

In defence of Casey, the only special thing about Bloodbourne costume is that it's the one from the game's title image that was used to sell the game. Other than that, it doesn't have much visual appeal to it, unless you have played Bloodbourne, which is not an ideal first souls game. Nor a second one.. Nor third...

So two things, one tidbit of lore and the other an answer. For the tidbit that character "Gifted Soul" and their "Sibling Spirit" are characters from the game Beyond: Two Souls made by Quantic Dreams and David Cage, the same people behind Detroit: Become Human. The bot is based on Jodie Holmes and the glowy spark her twin sibling who died before birth but stayed tied to Jodie as a ghost giving her psychic powers as a result. I'd call that game interesting with cool ideas but a little too formulaic and David Cage-y for repeat playthroughs. In answer to your question, like a lot of people I'd love to see an hour long once per week video of God of War.

I'm manifesting this throughout multiple series: Please play the recent Ratchet & Clank games(PS4 Remake and Rift Apart) and keep playing Sonic games(Like Generations, Unleashed, Colors, Rush, etc)! I concur with everyone recommending God of War 2018 and the Souls games, but since they're already covered in the comments, I'm hyping up other games I'd love BLG to tackle in the near future.

Cassie I do agree that the outfit is basic and yes you could throw it together quickly. A lot of Bloodborne clothing does have way more layers and better looks this outfit though in this takes away most of the small details that the armour has in the game. God it`s to clear I love Fromsoft games

Fuck, an earlier episode made me want to play Loco Roco, this one makes me want to play Patapon again. (Patapon is the game that those eyeball-looking lads are from, it's a fun rhythm game where you control an army of little patapons by using drum beats) I had Patapon 2 as a kid, and remember having a blast with it. I vaguely recall playing the first one a little, too? But the second one had more QoL fixes, from what I remember.

i would like you to play GoW but once a week for about 1h would take a lot longer that you think. i think it would start to drag. 100% (we all know hes going to want to) is estimated to be 55 hrs long. the 2 game is about the same. it would take you over a year to beat both.

I think the hour-long weekly video of the God of War series would be good. The older God of War games are... products of their time, and I don't mean that as a compliment, so I wouldn't be troubled if you went straight to the two newer ones. That said, you two like lore, so I'd say that if you don't want to or can't play the older ones, watching one of the story compilation videos would be good. All in all, you two like characters, and I think that's going to make the two newer God of War games particularly enjoyable for you.

I think you just need to stream God of War non stop till you finish it, both Dad of Boy games to completion one sitting and I will accept nothing less...For those without developed common sense this was a joke. One hour episodes +/- depending on finding an appropriate stopping point a week for an unorthodox game type seems fine however I'd trial it first because GoW play style is built on growing "muscle" memory for the combat system so less frequent shorter recording session may negatively affect the game performance although I understand your recording sessions and the episodes won't be one to one, it might be better to focus less on the episode length but rather get a main plot region done in a session and then split up the session into episodes where it works best inter-spaced with episodes of side content.

Casey is so right about the bloodborn outfit being very basic. It's pretty uninspired and generic, except for the small details that set the hat slightly appart from other piraty looking hats. Granted the Astrobot version doesn't do the costume any favours by simplifying a design that thrives on gritty details. Obviously I'm not saying you can't think it's cool. It's designed to look edgy and dark, so it has appeal. But to me it's pretty undeniable that it's a pretty simple outfit and a rehash of other edgy, gothy outfits. So I really don't get why it's controversial to call it basic.
