i love the chapter 8 name being a title drop. sure the game has technically title dropped itself multiple times before this point but this one just feels like _the_ title drop, the music also adds so much to it

I can say for certain, that with Chapter 8, is where the composers bring out the big guns, and never put them away. Just like with Origami Castle and Black Bowser's Castle, the overworld music takes over completely (no battle remix here!), and with time, it shifts from creepy orchestra to basically Origami Castle #2 (symphonic metal). Since two of the three musicians for the game (including the sound director) returned from Origami King, this was basically a given. I can't wait for them to meet this Demon, and see how awesomely evil/powerful it really is.

It's so nice having the whole team out for the door-opening in this version. Yeah, I absolutely love the design of the Palace of Shadow! The "field music continues in battle at the endgame" trope is great, so glad they did that for the rerelease. The combination of Ian's despair and Casey's delight at the BLG Drink of the Day is always so fun! With dodging those fire bars, the idea is that you roll up BEFORE going down there, then just roll under the high ones and jump over the low ones. Though Vivian works too, obviously. I'm sad that you probably won't be using her much since you didn't level her up =(

Okay, I know it's minor, but I was kinda annoyed you didn't notice that at the start of the Palace of Shadows, you guys were talking over the fact that the game didn't have any specific battle music for this level- it's just constantly playing the Ghost House remix for extra spooky. I love you guys, but if I had a critique, it's 'let some of the game breathe and speak for itself'. I like hearing y'all, but you don't NEED to talk 24/7 over the game, I feel. I like you guys reacting to all aspects of the game itself, not just talking for the funnies- and part of that is taking the time to chill out in intervals and let the game wash over you instead of worrying about filling air. I think you'll overall have MORE to talk about if you do that.

My least favorite island in the game, didn't confuse me but it didn't feel like a maze as it was just an annoying puzzle and i like most puzzles in games to test myself. Very close to the end of the game though one particular part messed up my near perfect balance i had set for how i was leveling the bros. Oh wow, never noticed that hold in the maze which means i may have to go back.

Funnily for Casey, she read the Krode’s design completely right, they’re based on an enemy from Bowser’s Inside Story that was a tree, it was made of wood and sometimes had a dangling acorn where these ones are made of rusting metal. The originals would throw sticks where these new ones throw metal pipes. Edit: I hope I’m spelling Keighcee’s name correctly
