I think it’s interesting that Eida witnessed that conversation and was personally targeted. I think she’ll be more inclined to mention all the targets to Shikamaru. Shikamaru will get suspicious at the fact that all of the targets are living people associated with Konaha except Naruto. Why would he want to kill Naruto who’s already supposed to be dead?

Sasuke was also able to watch boruto and momoshiki talking, something that not even eida is able to do, so the rjnnegan that this guys have are functioning, so that tells me that they can probably use the abilities of the rinmegam and that’s why bug and jiro are able to see and sense the presence of eidas sending an power watching them, even sasuke can tell that momoshiki is there without even having the rjnnegan I guess is just something they develop overtime idk

I was under the impression that, to a certain degree at least, Shikamaru already knows/has had that realization. But unlike people like Naruto or Sasuke he doesn't have the power to do anything about it, so he's smart prey- cozying up next to the most dangerous predators (Kawaki, Eida, Daemon) so that he can learn their weaknesses, keep his enemies close, and hopefully find an opening to take them out- explaining his tolerance of Sarada's disrespect and why he has her focusing on Eida. He knows but can't admit that Sarada is right and is trying to keep her contained so that she doesn't upset the delicate balance he's trying to maintain. In that way Shikamaru would at least be the perfect person to be Hokage at this moment in time in Konoha because Konoha wouldn't need someone who follows the might=right equation as they would just end up getting everyone killed, but someone who thinks before they act. Someone capable of analyzing every piece on the board and where they are most likely to move so he can place himself in the best position to win the game.

I REALLY REALLY hope this is the case. Shikamaru has to play some type of relevance and his contributions through his intelligence has to play a factor. To think beyond the situation and piece everything together needs to be his role and the conversation they overheard with Amado should start that. We don't know what Kakashi and Sakura's perspective on omnipotence is and its pretty critical because I want to say they are people who may staunchly support Sasuke and question why he would support someone who killed his bestfriend. Shikamaru in these 3 years should at least have had a conversation with the previous hokaga/sensei of Naruto & Sasuke along with Sasuke's wife, Sakura.

There’s something off about that Sasuke shinju, he seems to conflicted about his existence and has more human instinct than the others, that’s why he asks “ who are we?” And seems to be in a deep state of thought, I think this is because that shinju understands emotion via being born of the dna of an uchiha, because as we know from Tobirama” there is no clan that feels love like the uchiha “ This shinju will most likely turn on the rest and assist Sarada and potentially grant her insane power in the future chapters

Clearly didn't bother to investigate anything about the Swapping at all. They had three years to gather evidence, test people's memories, and investigate how the technique worked and what it's limitations were. Instead, the manga acts as if they say there twiddling their thumbs for three fucking years. Which is ridiculous. You would THINK questioning the Karma that Amado placed in Kawaki would literally be one of the first things they did. But nope. Never came up until now. Fucking dumb.

@@Josephextreme The issues can't be fixed. He bungled it on Page 1. You know how it could've been fixed? If YOUNG Sarada was talking to Shikamaru, and this was immediately after the swap on page 1. THEN we time skip to her storm off and adjust accordingly. But he was in such a rush to show designs, the time skip now makes no sense. It really seems like everybody in Sarada's crew didn't bother doing anything in the timeskip towards solving their problems and every instance the Swap comes up makes them all look more and more incompetent. You know what would've been good? If at the end of their argument in Chapter 1, Shikamaru gives Sarada a book and says she should read this if she wants to understand what being a Hokage is. What book? A copy of Tales of a Gutsy Ninja, and just like Jiraiya, Shikamaru leaves a coded message for Sarada hinting the Kawaki is always listening and to be careful. Kawaki isn't a ninja. Coded messages aren't his thing. They could be using NINJA stuff to be communicating to get past Kawaki's watchful eye.

I wonder if a canon answer for why a Sarutobi didn’t teach Team 10 will be given and explored. I could see Konohmaro wanting to teach Naruto’s son so bad that he would break year’s tradition. This could be a point of contention for the “new” Team 10 since the drama with this breaking of tradition could have been secret drama that was lurking of page. Now I don’t know how the Sensei assignments are done in Naruto or Boruto but maybe Moegi took the job because no one wanted to take the position after Konohamaro declined, so there could be some feelings of regret there. I don’t know I’m just trying to create some something for Konohamaro to deal with that’s not just fighting.

Shot in the dark and probably the least likely thing to happen, but i wonder if its possible that not all of Kuramas chakra was destroyed entirely. Perhaps Kuramas chakra was merely destroyed to a point he could no longer manifest even in Naruto's inner world. If that's the case, perhaps Naruto, Kawaki, or Kurama himself has spent the past few years in the pocket dimension reconstituting said chakra. Possibly even that Naruto passively absorbing the chakra in that dimension and it being funneled into what was left of Kurama, not only reconstituting him, but giving him a buff. Again I highly doubt this and it would kinda kill the emotional impact of kurama sacrificing himself against ishhiki. My second, equally unlikely theory would involve kawaki snatching claw grimes and piecing them together within Naruto to make him the new vessel of the 10 Tails. My strongest piece of evidence for this is that Kawaki wants Naruto protected at all costs, and what better way to do that than to give Naruto the means to once again defend himself. In the timeskip from the very first chapter, iirc, Kawaki told Boruto he would send him where he sent Naruto. As evidenced by Naruto very much so being alive, this would be Kawaki no longer trying/needing to kill Boruto. If Naruto is a perfect jinchuriki of the 10 tails, Boruto can no longer be fed to said 10 tails and as such is no longer a threat but merely an obstacle. My third, and probably LEAST likely theory, is that Hogaromo could possibly intervene once more. iirc Naruto and Sasuke are both still the most recent and current reincarnations of Ashura and Indra. The cycle of hate is over, but that doesn't change their status as reincarnations as far as I know, they just don't carry the prophetical hate boner they once did. Furthermore i feel there is at least SOME possibility that Hogaromo, upon looking from the pure lands and seeing the other members of his terrifying mothers clan ransacking the world he already intervened to protect once, would be at least a bit inclined to do so once more. I will reiterate that none of these theories are probably very likely at all, but i did find them to be very interesting to consider as i was watching the video

Everyone go back to Chapter 1 of two blue vortex and look at Kawaki’s arm. If I’m not mistaken, his right sleeve was ripped but without any context behind why. I noticed it a few months ago but maybe he was bitten by a claw grime hints why one looks like Jigen but always has his hands in his pockets just like Kawaki does. Maybe both Kawaki and Boruto CAN be bitten but don’t turn into trees due to being Vessels for Ôtsutsuki.

There's likelihood of the consciousness in Sasuke's Juubi - Hidari becoming a good guy and helping Boruto and Sarada is pretty high. He's the only Juubi clone to think beyond their existence to "kill" and this chapter Sasuke himself further highlights his own "instincts" combined with his love for Sarada as the reason why he was able to overcame his own memories to help Boruto. Add that to Boruto reminding Sarada that Sasuke did what he did to help Boruto because of her makes Hidari pulling a Itachi edo tensei reverse very likely.

to address B. Sarada is a thematic "change" of the Uchiha clan. The symbol of the end of the Uchiha heritage and the start of a new one. So Sarada getting a Mangekyou because of intense emotions of love and care is thematically more important than her killing Sasuke to get a Mangekyou.

Sarada awoke her Mangekyou at the correct time. It gives her time to learn about her abilities and train with them. She isn't a genius like Itachi who learnt to perfectly use Tsukuyomi right after he awoke it. She is only above average at learning speed. She has chakra issues like Kakashi with the Sharingan. Kakashi needed the time-skip to get good with Kamui.

How strong did Sasuke also become during the timeskip? He was able to drag out a fight with code, where code seemed not to use his karma, which I find weird considering he has his eye slashed and was visibly sweating ( in anime that means a character is stressed or has been pushed to a certain extent ) surely he’d have activated the karma in this situation, unless he already used it and couldn’t carry it on, and the fight was on its last legs, which appears to be the case since Boruto’s sword was broken, Codes body language was hunched over with him sweating , Sasuke looked tired with the marks drawn onto his face to symbolise bleeding and fatigue. Also, Sasuke was only able to cut on a base sharingan in his last stand against code and the claw grimes, and simple augmentation using chidori, no susanoo rib cage, or any stage of Susanoo for that matter, No Kirin, nothing, which implies to me that Sasuke only had that one last burst of energy left in him, and this was still enough to buy Boruto enough time to escape. If code could’ve wiped the floor with Sasuke, they’d never have met in the middle with a final blow from each side, with code bringing his claw grimes along with him, he’d have simply blitzed and killed Sasuke, caught upto boruto and fed him to the divine tree, Code was the fastest individual in the verse at that time using his claw marks, simply proving that Sasuke was powerful enough to not only destroy all the claw grimes, but hold off code himself long enough for boruto to achieve a significant distance in between him and code when he fled the scene, Stop sleeping on Sasuke, give the man his props, he’s weaker than code no doubt, not not as weak as people are making it out , just like Tobirama most likely wasn’t just outright murked by the Gold and silver bros, he probably put up a good fight, so did Sasuke.

Momoshiki's only real bet if he can't reincarnate is to sit, watch, and take over when he can. he even saw it as beneficial to switch control with boruto for the sake of battle. It's very Possible Momoshiki Simply now wants boruto to live, simply because it's the only way his consiousness/life won't completley fade away, as currently ressurection is no longer a possibility. the best momoshiki can really do right now is stay alive at the VERY least Untill he can repair the karma somehow, For example, Amado Repairing Boruto's Karma Fully the same way he reconstructed Kawaki's Karma, if im caught up/if my lore is correct. im a little on and off with it so take what i say with a grain of salt.

The fact that Naruto is being considered as the perfect candidate to be consumed by jigen's shinjuu means that Naruto should not be slept on he definitely still has some fight left in him, he still is considered as a strong Shinobi (as he is still the strongest kage) but my guess is that since baryon mode was activated it amped all his stats and might have even made him gain a better understanding of chakra allowing his body to pull in high quantities of nature chakra (or his body might just be doing this subconsciously) And the evolution that jigen's shinjuu was talking about is that his body is pulling in so much nature chakra that he has gain a ultimate power of sorts that could surpass isshiki and probably become the next ottusutki God (and Naruto would be the perfect vessel for his power as Naruto's body has experience with dealing with high levels if power before) But it does make me wonder why Naruto and not anyone else, Kishimoto definitely cooking up something good I'm looking forward to the Naruto power ups

As nice as it would be for naruto to suddenly gain all these cool powers and blah blah blah, i really just dont think its happening. it would take the focus too much from boruto, himawari, Sarada, and Kawaki, who are the main focus's of the story so far i feel (the shinju, eida, daemon, and code aka the antagonists aside, of course.) I think Naruto Might be plot relevant as he's now both connected to the shinju who seem to want him, and Kawaki who likes naruto. that pits Kawaki and the Shinju at odds, meaning it's possible for boruto and kawaki to team up against the shinju, in a temporary truce as it's BOTH in their best interests to keep naruto alive.

Honestly, this chapter is once again great. I always just keep Nick's manga review kept away until I read it myself, and boy was the chapter just worth the read. As far as everything goes, I think it'll be interesting to see Boruto's interactions with everyone now especially on the likes of Hima, Sakura, Shikamaru and Konohamaru. Maybe even Kashin will be with Boruto very closely now they are in Konoha, or maybe he is doing his own thing. One thing is that for sure, Boruto and Sarada's moment at the end was cute, although I wish Sumare made a comment or started to walk toward the two at the end instead of awkwardly standing there. I really didn't know that the Sarutobi's trained the Ino-Shika-Cho formation for traditions. I mean definitely makes sense now that Konohamaru will be watching over Team 10, especially with all of New Team 7 being dismembered. Although idk if Konohamaru being Team 7's initial sensei was necessarily a bad thing, like I get why people are upset. But personally I just saw it as Naruto entrusting Konohamaru with the legacy team number and Konoha's strongest future shinobi. Although, I feel it's water under the bridge now. Amazing chapter & great review, but I don't think it says Naruto is "evolving". The translation I got essentially says, "why, he's not an Ōtsutsuki?" "That's right... But we are already Shinju. And are (now) evolving in a different way. It seems like the instinct moving us (is) changing too" (Jūra answering Bug's Shinju on P. 20) So I think he's talking about them evolving not Naruto. Japanese is notorious for dropping pronouns, so it can sometimes be hard to distinguish who's talking about doing what to whom But i also wanna talk about their names Moegi's shinju is named Matsuri (祭り), which is part of Moegi's last name, Kasamatsuri (風祭). And both use the same Kanji 祭 which can mean festival, frenzy or mania. And when used as a verb can mean to enshrine, to pray to, to worship or to deify Sasuke's is Hidari (左), which is kinda funny because it means "left" in Japanese. So the guy missing his left arm & his left eye has a doppelganger out there named Left 😂 Unless i missed it, we didn't get the name of Bug's Shinju And the Jigen/Isshiki shinju is named Jūra (十羅). This is probably the most interesting. It uses the kanji 十, meaning the number 10, which most likely relates to the ten tails, and 羅 which is the least clear cut It can mean silk or gauze or even the Latin language. But it's also used in the Japanese spelling of the Hindu/Buddhist gods, Asura. (Called Shura, in Japanese) Which are a group of gods / demigods that rival the more benevolent Devas Here's the entry for 修羅 (Shura) from the Japanese dictionary (Jisho) I'm using 修羅　[シュラ]　Asura, demigod, anti-god, titan, demigods that fight the Devas (gods) in Hindu mythology, fighting, carnage, conflict, strife, sledge (for conveying large rocks, logs, etc.) log slide, chute, flume Here's the Wikipedia entry for Asura Asuras are a class of beings in Indic religions. They are described as power-seeking demons related to the more benevolent Deva in Hinduism. In its Buddhist context, the word is sometimes translated "titan", "demigod", or "anti-god". So I guess all the names are fitting in their own way, but I'm sure Nick can mine this information for some bingo book levels of gold!

And I'm not claiming to know exactly what Kishimoto is thinking with these names, but thanks to the raw scans, we know the kanji used for there names. Which helps narrow things down tremendously. And the kanji used for the three names we got are pretty straightforward, especially the first two. But I'll go through my thought process behind each The simplest one is Sasuke's. There's really no ambiguity with 左 'Hidari", it's only meaning is 'Left'. So it has to have something to do with that With Moegi's, 祭 'Matsuri', it has three possible meanings as a noun 1. Festival/feasts 2. Frenzy/mania 3. Online bullying Not much there but if you check the verb form you get two more. 1. To deify/to enshrine 2. To pray/to worship That's closer to the mark, but then I looked up Moegi on the wiki & saw that the same kanji with the same reading (pronunciation) was used in her name so I figured that at least has something to do with where the name comes from. But I bet she'll end up being a little manic/frantic & a bit mean girly too, lol, but who knows The third, 十羅 'Jūra' is probably the most speculative. The first part 十 is straight forward, ten is the only meaning & I think pretty clearly relates to the ten tails. But with 羅, the only meanings are 1. Light weight fabric, silk, gauze 2. Latin (the language) But if you look at some of the compound kanji (two or more kanji combined to make a new word) 修羅 'shura' definitely stands out for reasons I posted above. Especially considering kishimoto's usage of Hindu /Buddhist influences in the past. E.g. The leader of Shinjus name is Jura and the Sasuke ones name is Hidari, the Moegi one is named Matsuri and I dont know the Bug Shinjus name yet.

If that one shinju is moegi that pretty much confirms the other shinju clone ( leader) is a shin clone for two reasons he looks exactly like them and are currently in the village coulda just got off screened like moegi and secondly the drive to kill the one closer to them part of thier instinct holds up because it was naruto who wanted to take in all the shin clones instead of killing them showing them a diffrent way of life . Deaths to me that will be good moving the plot foward mirai asuma daughter shikidai or temari , Sakura , lee and couple new gen . Temari/ shikidai dying not only impacts shikimaru but garra kanuroo shinki can be a pivitol piece to get on board with cloneing and ninja tech . kankuro being obsssed with being the perfect weapon would be great for his charcter possibly doing what sasori did being a puppet/cyborg /Android abdoning humanity but way more op with today tech . Seeing puppets being used as mecha suits simlar to jjk mechamaru utilizing scroll from chunin exam with puppets would be a great bufff to thier village and stays true to thier culture while having sci-fi elements . If lee were to go out personally him fighting a borutoshiki defending the village be a good way to go out .
