+LorRellyRell Yeah, when Momoshiki absorbed Bee's Tailed Beast Ball and reflected it back to him 2x the size, and then recreated am even bigger one at the stadium, it was breathtaking. The whole theater was silent. But yeah, they didn't offer much in terms of personality. Momoshiki is a jerk though, he didn't even hesitate to absorb Kinshiki. I felt kinda bad. Can't see why he's loyal to him.

+The FLASH Kaguya served as more of a thematic final villain than anything else. She doesn't have much of a personality because she isn't even a proper being in the first place. Heck, Naruto said it himself that he didn't feel anything fighting her; she was meant to be the living embodiment of chakras corrupting malaise, in other words: chakra personified. Frankly I couldn't imagine a more fitting final villain for this series. Each antagonist exemplified chakras ability to seduce people with the song of power, but underneath all that hate lied another purpose for chakra, that of a unifier. Naruto championed that latter purpose and challenged every enemy who mocked such positive notions and won. Stepping up to bat next was Madara, all prepped to be that grand enemy that must be defeated, but even with the power of the Juubi there was a problem, underneath that psychosis was still a human being. Not so much in power mind you but in his reasons for obtaining said power; he was close to reaching that level but for everything Naruto - the series and the character - stood for to come full circle, he needed to take down the source of Madara's corruption: he needed to fight chakra itself. With the help of close friends and even a former enemy, Naruto was able to eclipse that singular power of Kaguya. That's fine if you found her boring, but as I've tried to say with this post, she, as the final villain, wasn't meant to have the human qualities most fans desired of her.

+SangreTaiyou937 you're totally right! the whole kaguuya thing was rushed, and that's a really bad thing for it came out not-so-well, but the fact is: she was a one-dimensional character because che wasn't human at all... as stated by the sage of six paths, at some point she totally get rid of her human part, and became an unnatural force, a mere vessel for chakra who struggle only to reunite every drop of chakra into herself... the only thing she kept saying during the battle was like "i want back the chakra you stole from me" because that's the only thing she did care about, she wasn't willing to kill them at all, nor she was driven by any purpose... if every villain of the series used chakra in a bad way, she was different: she was chakra himself, the embodiment of that bad will. So yeah, she was the most fitting villain they could end with... if only it wasn't so fucking rushed because "700 is a nice number to end with", it could have been a masterpiece!

This was such an incredibly satisfying movie to see as a Naruto fan. As Sawyer said, the movie touches upon so many of the things that us fans really enjoyed about the series, with the three biggest highlights being the fights, Sasuke's very appreciated role in the story, and the resolved conflict between Boruto and Naruto. The fights all felt like old-school Naruto fights featured in Part 1 of the series, with a focus on taijutsu and tactics, which is further emphasized by the negatively portrayed ninja tool that copies other people's jutsu. The thing that really hit home for me about the rough relationship between Boruto and Naruto was the fact that the conflict was affecting both of them. Boruto was portrayed as a brat, but one who deep down knows he is being too harsh on his father. At the same time, Naruto knows that he is neglecting his family to a certain extent, and doesn't know how to go about fixing the problem to the point where he starts purposely staying away. Both sides were not only at fault but were also hurting from the conflict they were creating. Which then makes the resolution of this conflict all the more satisfying.The nicest touch about all of this though was the fact that Sasuke was the one to help mend Boruto and Naruto's relationship. His interactions with Boruto not only showed his as a mentor figure but also showed the strong amount of respect and admiration he has for Naruto. This helped solidify the fact that he is indeed Naruto's best friend and right-hand man. These character interactions and the heartfelt lessons that came with them are what made this movie shine, and if this is indeed Kishimoto's swan-song to the series, then I believe he should be very proud to go out on a very high note.

Are you people actually mistaking character complexity for weakness? In what parts were Naruto a bad character because he showed weakness? I swear to god you idiots with Naruto profiles just want him to be a Mary Sue. He wasn't a bad father, no bad father stands in front of his kid and absorbs what is possibly a nuke. It's not just his kid, he protected everyone in Konoha which with his status as Hokage are basically his children as well. He never had an example from Minato on how to be a proper father and his busy job kept him from learning it well. Look at how advanced the world is right now, he's probably much busier than Tsunade or Sarutobi in their time, his personality basically dictates he try to help everyone, not just himself. Did you miss the entire opening scene where he was everywhere with his Shadow Clones? He was by no means a great father but that's what he learns in this movie. The character we love is still growing and that makes me so much happier. 'Naruto has many weaknesses, he was a loner and a loser. He somehow overcame it all with his own ability and became Hokage." It's implied that before he became Hokage, Naruto did give a lot of attention to the family. But it didn't help that Naruto never had a father too, so he really has no basis on how to act.

I loved this movie, i like how it didnt take the cliche route by having boruto be this crazy strong kid whos damn near already on narutos level. I like the fact Sasuke was basically the secondary character in the movie. I agree the villains were about as important as the the panda bear was but whatever. id rate it a 8.8/10. I love when Sasuke said "The father you should know is not who he is now, but everything he has been up till now." or something like that. It was so true. Little by little you see Boruto understanding what Sasuke meant. How Boruto always had new clean clothes, compared to Narutos old jacket. How he really has no idea the hardship he went through growing up being seen as a demon for something out of his control and always being alone. While Boruto has a Mother, a Sister, people admire him for being the Hokage ' son, he can come home to a meal while Naruto had cups of Ramen and spoiled milk. Like legit I mite be thinking too deep but that hits me hard. To look at what Naruto used to be, now having all he has and struggling with all the responsibilities of being Hokage with the village evolving. We all know Naruto was dumb in school and hyperactive, so for him to act so mature seemed out of character for a lot of people, But I understood it. And you see those moments where Shikamaru tells him Boruto made it through he got all excited when he left. Naruto is still Naruto, he just has a whole new weight on his shoulders. No one taught him to be a Father, though he found father figures. I can see why he struggled to talk to Boruto in his room. He really couldn't say much because all he had was excuses, but I'm sure he's still learning. And Love how they call him uncle Sasuke. Sasuke smiles more just to see his change is amazing. He's known as the Hokages shadow and I think that's perfect him. Plus he was impacted by Naruto the most if you think about it. Love the movie, of course it would of been longer, we would see more development. I liked the villains abilities but they didn't have as much Character as Pain or Madara you know? We didn't see their development. All in all I enjoyed it. Now if the anime can get it together we can see the story finally wrap up completely.

+Mugiwara Shanks I've seen the movie so i'll tell you without spoilers. I liked the movie. If you dislike Sasuke, after the movie you'll end up liking him. Naruto seem more cold and distant than he was in his childhood. But he had to figure out ''being a dad'' thing. Even if he seem inexcusable, I understand him, he had to learn to communicate with his kids. He's not the best father, but he truly loves his children. I don't know if this is a spoiler but... till the end he surely matures and he improves his ''being a dad status''. :) But, people have different opinions, you choose.

He most likely was in missions before. After he became hokage his work surely increased. He is the most important man in the village and he needs to take care of all the people. And having a 12 yo kid is not that easy. He is still a bad dad, because he could've be more with his family. But hey, he has a job to do, there are sacrifices. And as you saw he definitely improved as a dad till the end. Plus is not like he doesn't spend time with his family at all.

This movie was amazing. I drove from Cincinnati to Columbus with my friends ($16 per ticket) and it took us like an hour and a half there. When we got there, the theater was PACKED! Like it was completely bustling with Naruto fans and we were all respectful of the place, it was just bliss. (I go to the movies a lot, and I see a lot of people just being annoying even for big movies i.e Juraissic Park or Avengers) The movie overall had a really GREAT story imo. The Sasuke-Naruto dynamic was just amazing. The animation when they fought (Sasuke at the beginning and the team up with Naruto at the end) left me speechless. Moreover, the Chunin exams just breathed some well needed humor into it. Shikadai going against Boruto, Sarada knocking the LIVING SHIT out of that one girl, the various children of our favorite characters etc. It was such a nice turn around. The ending fight, as grand as it was, had a lot of taijutsu in it which just made it something so much better than what it COULD have been. The physical hits and individuality of it made the fights that much more complex and personal. Like Darui realizing that he couldn't ninjutsu on them, or Sasuke/Naruto using the sword as a decoy. This. Movie. Was. AWesome

My goodness gracious. I saw the crappiest quality of this movie, and the animation was so perfect, I sworn I saw it in HD on youtube. This movie was extremely amazing, and the animation fights are beautifully designed. The Naruto and Sasuke fight vs. the enemies during the movie is completely epic. I thought the main point of the movie was that you should work hard to obtain your goals, and to not choose the easy way. Naruto choose to work hard and that's what got him in that position, while boruto tried the easy way and eventually failed, not just the chunning exams, but as a nija. Naruto passed the first exam claiming that even if he was a genin forever he would not give up, the opposite of Boruto's decision. I thought the series and the movie had the same msg, but showing the end result of the two different choices.

The message of working hard is still the same, it's just that in Boruto's case we see him take the easy route, fail, and then learn from his choice, while in Naruto's case we see him live true to the message from start to finish.

This movie was an AMAZING experience in theaters. You cannot watch this movie without deep bass/surround sound especially the intro fight, my god...Literally Sasuke went god mode. Loved this movie and will definitely pick it up on Blu-Ray on release.

I wouldn't lie that i cried during the part when Naruto and Bolt join hands together and all those flashes of Naruto's journey, including Neji's death made me cried like so legit. But i got those butterflies the most when Boruto wear Sasuke's headband in front of his mom and then the image of him changes into young Naruto and the looks at Hinata face really made me warm inside. She looks like she fell in love all over again. So nostalgic, and also i want more Himawari

+Rag Doll That's not what he said at all. Someone asked him if he had told the story from another character's perspective, who would it have been. He said that he doesn't plan on doing any new stuff for Naruto for the forseeable future, and there are no announced plans for another film at this point. Kishimoto is currently taking time off to reconnect with his family, and developing a new sci-fi manga for Jump+.

Loved the movie, it was amazing. I would've loved to see Konohamaru play a bigger role (he's Naruto's only student since he skipped chunin and jonin and went straight to Hokage, and he's pretty much guaranteed to be the next Hokage after Naruto) along with Mitsuki (my favorite character of the new generation), but I get that they weren't the main focus. Seeing as Mitsuki is still a big mystery and the fact that we got teased at the end, I doubt this is the end. Looking forward to any future manga specials or movies that Kishi might make years down the line. I feel like he left a pretty good foundation for it.

I agree with everything! there's so much unfounded criticism towards this movie I'm glad people do see the point in this movie, although technically we are still getting new content in Naruto with the Hidden novels and Itachi and Sasuke Shinden so the stories are not over yet...

I'm a naruto fanboy from the first time I laid eyes on him. But Sasuke was so bad ass. He took the show. Btw guys naruto still have his sage powers, when Sasuke got raped & burnt up. Naruto healed him. As I recall the cloak doesnt heal it protects.

I love the subtle blend of nostalgia into the movie like the callbacks to all the previous Rasengan users. Though for me I really enjoyed how reminiscent Boruto/Sasuke's tactic against Momoshiki was of when Naruto went up against Zabuza waaaaay back in the land of waves arc. That crowning glory of being dubbed a useless genin and forcing a Jounin level opponent to release Kakashi through misdirection and guile! Super ninja.

The shaow clones were from narutos chakra. Kakashi says early on that naruto (whilst a kid) has more chakra then him but some of its being used to seal up the nine tail fox so he cant use all of it, yet he still summons all those clone. Nauto = uzamaki = OP chakra reserves

Its true that Naruto had the Kyuubi but Naruto already had massive chakra reserves. He's an Uzumaki, who are known to have special chakra or a massive amount. He can summon so many clones without the use of the Kyuubi.

Great review, but when you said Naruto could only summon shadow clones in high numbers as a child because of Kurama, i felt like you need to re watch Naruto. Mizuki wasn't defeated by Kurama, it was all Naruto then and Naruto had just learned the Jutsu.

When Sarada got all up in Boruto's face and said, "I knew it. Your eyes are bluer than Seventh's." And Boruto just went all blushy my heart literally melted a thousand times over! Same as the last scene when they were discussing their life goals, Boruto said he would protect Sarada and HER face went red as a tomato! So adorable! Can't wait for Naruto Next Generation!!!!!!

I loved seeing the 5 Kages put in work vs. Momoshiki and Kinshiki. Darui and Chojuro were especially awesome, and Kinshiki practically had to rip his arms off to get out of Kurotsuchi's ash jutsu.

Sasuke's speech was epic! He has ALWAYS been my favourite Naruto character. Although he was kind of a douche sometimes throughout the series, he was just full of hate, and needed someone to never give up on him. He was just lost in the darkness and on path of revenge and needed to be pulled out of it. And look how that all turned out :) Also, IF.... this is not asking too much... I don't know if you mentioned this in any of your previous videos, but I had this question come to mind. Who is your ultimate favourite Naruto character, Sawyer? And if possible, why?

Just finnished the movie, I really loved it. You are right about the villians but there wasn't any time for developing them so I don't care. Sasuke sure has matured, and I like him many times more than villian Sasuke in shippuden. I thought he would teach Boruto Chidori since he needs to pass it down. Naruto was brilliant in this movie and he learned to spend time with his family. This movie was an epic way of finishing the series.

I was there! The first group to watch the movie in North America. Oh this movie, that day was the best day! Loved that movie soooo much. Wish they would have shown kakashi a bit more but that's ok. Sasuke was amazing, naruto was great, sakura- impressive girl
