I found it on Craigslist in Tucson Arizona. However, I suspect this version (the very earliest Bosch ever made) is very rare. I have yet to see another one.

Looks like a Dremel tool version of a ShopSmith. :-) Are these new?
@GeoffreyBaker4 жыл бұрын
Not at all - made in 1957. This was the very earliest "multi-tool" Bosch ever made - they upgraded to micro machine lathes and multitools powered by modern drills (with handles etc). One speed. No reverse. Still, very cool :) Actually does more than a Shopsmith in that with just the attachments that come in the box, it can saw, drill, horizontal bore, turn wood, sand (both disk and belt sander) and even plane and do box joints...

@@GeoffreyBaker Looks like if you lived in a tiny loft apartment, but loved pen turning, you could do so on your coffee table with one of these! It does every function you would need.

Yes and I forgot to show the scariest attachment of all, the PLANER :)

@@GeoffreyBaker Good god - a planer too? Hold on to your fingers, your hand. It reminds me of dentist tools of the era. Spooky stuff

@@GeoffreyBaker The planer will work, but the knives must be sharp.
