Bosch is an awesome dishwasher. Kitchenaid is crap as food is constantly getting stuck in the water jet systems and the water pressure is weak (adding to the quietness of the machine). Not only do you have to thoroughly clean the dishes before you use the Kitchenaid, you have to remove the arms and physically clean them out after each wash (this is after having thoroughly cleaned the dishes, which is a huge pain and time consumer. Notice how he didn't show any dirty plates being loaded and cleaned? Cleaning the bottom arms are a pain but they do at least remove from the central turner. The top arms are all part of one piece. It's a crap shoot whether or not the food will come out of those. We don't have the 3rd wrack system, so we have to use the basket for tableware. Our normal sized knives will block the arms from turning, so we have to load all of them on far end of the basket. in our second home, we have a Siemens (fyi, Bosch, Siemens and Constructa are all the exact same machines, just with different branding) and this machine is a workhorse and does the job. We never have a problem with food getting stuck in the jets and the clearance is not a problem for normal size table ware. The Kitchenaid is quiet, that's the only thing it's got going for it. Don't buy the Kitchenaid. It's a joke.

We bought the 800 series, and we are very disappointed. The lower basket keep falling down it's tracks, and when this thing is loaded it is very difficult to put back in place and it keeps falling and falling, plus watch your back when doing so because it's the greatest position to hurt yourself. My wife hate it, in fact all of our family hate it . I am not sure but it must be that the basket is not sturdy enough and when loaded it twist so that the wheels keeps falling down the rails. Something is definitely wrong here, but it is very quiet especially when my honey is not swearing at it :) Would I buy it again? Hell no! Oh and when I called the support, they told my that I need a new set of wheels, but they are back order, that I should get them in a month or two.

Great video. I just ordered my third Bosch DW 100 series in black $499 at HD. Why my third? Over the last 45 years we have had a Waste king (15 yrs), Frigidaire (8 yrs) Bosch (12 yrs) Samsung (4 yrs) Bosch (4.5 yrs), please forgive my rounding). As you can see the newer the technology the shorter the lifespan. How can Bosch sell a model 100 for $499, while the top of line 800+ is $1,399. Turn them upside down and they are identical, even the replacement parts carry the same number.

Do you have any guesses on when Bosch might be back up on production? I'm needing to replace my dishwasher. It's not dead yet but it's also probably not long for this world. All of the reviews I've read on the Bosch dishwashers have been very positive and I've got a cousin who has one and I was impressed with how it performed when I was visiting. Only problem is, no vendors in my area have any in stock and none of them have a clue when they might become available again. Any information you have on this would be greatly appreciated.

One of the biggest misconceptions using a dishwasher is to pre rinse dishes. And in this video they show a guy doing just that. Not only is it a waste of energy and water it prevents the soap from doing it's job. Dishwasher soap is designed to take food stuff off of dishes, if you pre rinse the soap can actually damage the finish and pit your dishes. Of course you do want to scrape off big pieces of food stuff before loading.

@@harryharry3193If you don't know how to clean the filters every month than you probably will never get good performance with your dishwasher. All modern dishwashers have built in pre rinse cycles with normal cycles (exception being fast cycles that are usually less than an hour) that do the pre rinse for you, it's why you have to put the detergent in a closed compartment, it's so it dispenses automatically in the main wash. You just scrape off the big food chunks and put it in. If you manually pre rinse, the detergent will gradually leave residue over time on dishes and possibly damage them because they simply don't have anything to clean.

After being given a date of August 18, 2021 for a delivery date and being told that the DW cannot be located, I tried to call Bosch….and…the number on their website takes you to the repair department that sounds like it’s not located in America…and they have no clue about anything and no other phone number to refer you to!
