This video taught me how to remove the white plastic cover for the drain pump using a teaspoon so I could check the impeller. A piece of glass was stuck in the impeller assembly, preventing it from spinning freely. Once I removed the piece of glass and made sure the impeller was spinning freely, the dishwasher was able to run through its cleaning cycle. Thank you SO MUCH for your informative video. Helpful vid, thanks! Worth pointing out that the white plastic gaurd piece in front of the impeller must click back in properly. It looks like it just rests in the groove, but if you leave it like that then it'll float up, then get sucked in during the drain program and the motor will make strange noises. Worse still, it tends to sink back into the groove so you don't even know it's not properly clicked in and might just assume your motor is knackered!

Brilliant thanks so much it was a teepee toothcleaner and floss in the pump pulled out with a bbq squewer. Saved many pounds on a call out

Am I the only on who found it funny when every time he had to grab or scrape at something nasty he claims he's using something his partner owns?

Thanks for the entertaining video. Mine was the drain pump (E23 error code), mentioned at the very end of this video. If you're handy and willing to spend a few hours watching various videos on replacing it, it's not that difficult.

Thanks. Did all this, but still a problem. It was the door not shutting firmly, so programme stopped. Easier to check this one first!

Thanks for this video, we have moved to a new place and I detected a funny smell from dish washer, like damp. Every time we put the dish washer on I’ve noticed the plates are not fully dried and the dishwasher remains sort of wet. I was cleaning the filter and I noticed a bit water stuck at the bottom of the filter chamber. I will try to perform the steps you have done crossing my fingers it’s all sorted! Thanks

Hope you got it fixed.

I followed all the steps and realised there is nothing stuck in the draining mechanism. What other reason could be causing water to be stagnant at the bottom? Thanks
@LurgsHowToGuides Жыл бұрын
Will either be a blocked drainage hose \ U bend so make sure that’s not full of sludge. Or possibly the pump is faulty. First thing a Dishwasher should do is drain any water inside before it starts so start it empty with the water in then see if you can hear it draining or feel it on the pipework. Hope you get it sorted

@@LurgsHowToGuides thanks, will try that. The thing is, when the diga washer finishes, I can tell it’s still wet inside and the dishes are not completely dry, also the funny smells as in damp makes me believe there is something else. Im not sure if I can fix it beyond what you have suggested in the video, but thanks anyway.

@@LurgsHowToGuides my Mrs decided to wash Lego in it and a piece had got stuck in the impeller. I'd watched about ten different ones before I found yours and not one showed or mentioned the impeller.
