Bosch eBike Error Code 640 | What does it mean ?

I've owned my Electra Townie Go! eBike since 2018 (6 years) and recently the display has put on error code 640. The pedal assist Bosch motor was not working so I have to book the bike into the local bike shop for an inspection. The error basically means the battery needs to be replaced, pricey at AUD$1000.
