I have the old Bosch. Came pre-assembled, love it. Built 3 homes with it. I needed to talk to tech support for getting the fence accurate, but afterwards, its been going for 17 yrs and still looks and runs like new. I really dont know what more you can ask for? Nice review Mike, take care.

I really liked the Bosch 4100. This feels like more of the same good quality. It's also very similar to the 10 inch Skilsaw. Would be tough to find a higher endorsement than 17 years of heavy use without problems. Thanks for watching Highlander!

My 4000 just turned 17 and the motor died. Probably going to cost $150 in parts (field coil, circuit board and brushes) - or do I bite bullet and buy new? Thinking about the latter. Between this, Skilsaw SPT99-11 and DeWalt 7491RS.

@raypolakowski7172 if your going to do dados, make sure your arbor can support it. Itslooks like the newer saws have some kind European union specs, and saftey requirements that don't allow for them. All the best. Take care.

I bought the DWE7491RS because of the price, but the stand is a pain in the ass. At 72 yrs. In a small shop moving it is not easy

I agree that one takes some effort to use. It’s still definitely the most stable saw I’ve tested when set up. I wouldn’t think twice about ripping a 4x8 sheet by myself on that DeWALT. Thanks for watching!

If I need that type of saw, it’s most likely the one I’d get. I know it’s not a popular opinion here in the states, but I love Bosch. Everything I’ve owned, I’ve loved. Their gear driven/ROS(like festools rotex) is what got me interested in Bosch. Overseas gets way cooler stuff from them than we do unfortunately. Anyway, I’d love to see a review on their tracksaw. There aren’t many out there on it. I see myself owning that and more of their routers in the future. Hopefully

I"m looking forward to your full review on this saw as well as the Masterforce. The Masterforce looks like the same saw as the Metabo with Menards branding. I'm in the market for a higher end jobsite saw for woodworking because I do not have room for a cabinet saw. After you review the new Bosch and the Masterforce it would be great if you did a comparison between the DWE7491RS, the Skil worm drive, the GTS15-10, the Metabo, and the Masterforce. I know that's a lot to ask but your reviews are great and this would help a lot of people make an informed descision on which one to buy.

Looking forward to it next week, Mike. Inclusion of the zero clearance insert with the new saw is like a promise of more good things to come. Since you asked for our input, a big deal to me would be how flat and true the table is. Has to be aluminum, and we all know how hard it is to make one of those lightweight, yet flat.

Pretty easy assembly though I'm looking to build my table saw into my next workbench. Looking forward to the full Bosch review. If you're looking for more review ideas, how about air compressors and air tools (nailers, sprayers, etc.?)
@ProjectsForAllReviews
@ProjectsForAllReviews Ай бұрын
I’ve been considering starting to do air tools for some time. I have a lot of experience with many types from work but there’s enough battery powered tools out there nowadays to keep a reviewer in business indefinitely. In the automotive world I’ve seen them less and less over the years. It’s made the work environment considerably more pleasant from a noise perspective. I’d be surprised if we don’t eventually get into air tools, welders and hand tool sets but while I’m still limited to one vid a week we’ll prob stick pretty close to carpentry and backyard stuff for now. Thanks for watching Jeff!

It looks like a pretty nice saw. I like the Skil Worm Drive that I have, but that Bosch would definitely be very high on the possible purchase list, nothing wrong with that Bosch...I found the Skil Worm Drive on sale which is why I got it...the stand is really nice because it has larger wheels....I guess those small wheels everyone else uses is great if all you ever do is roll the saw around on your nice concrete floor in a garage, but if you eve use them on a jobsite you'll quickly hate those tiny wheels LOL, they get caught in and on everything. It looks like the Bosch stand has about 4 or 5 inch wheels, which might be ok on nice smooth surfaces. The design of the stand for expanding and collapsing it is similar to the one for the Skil, which I think works very well, pretty much one handed operation. I haven't tried a dado stack in my Skil yet, but I would guess it would have plenty of power to do so....I don't have to make too many dados, but its nice to know which saws accept them, because some of those portable table saws do not.

I’m very impressed with this one so far. It’s definitely in the same “family” as the Skilsaws. You’ll see what I mean if you watch the next full review vid. I decided to keep the two wormdrives as my permanent job saws but this Bosch will be tough to part with when it’s time to make space. Thanks for watching WildBill!

@@ProjectsForAllReviews You can really see in all of their saws how much Bosch and Skil share with one another. Definitely a good thing, and it seems to make the more budget priced Skil's more valuable to that end. My TS6307 has been a little gem.

Looking forward to the review! It’s hard for me to not go with FLEX as I have the batteries. Unfortunately I’m not entirely sold on the quality, not to say they make a bad saw. A table saw isn’t something I’m willing to skimp on so long it’s portable.

Mike - have you seen the Evolution line of saws? I think they're UK based and you can't get the latest one here just yet, but even the older model has some very unique features worthy of a review, like a sliding miter table and over-blade dust extraction. Fairly inexpensive as well.
@ProjectsForAllReviews

I have videos on both the Rage5 table saw and the 10 inch sliding miter saw as well as the 14 chop saw and larger mag drill. Check the channel. Evolution have many new saws coming to the states soon and we should get most for reviews. Keep any eye out I’m hoping to see some new evolution stuff in September or so. Thanks for watching!

A video on the SKIL 12v Auto Hammer would be good to see if you feel so inclined. BTW could you please tell me the width of the parallel guide slot on the SKIL CR5440B Circular Track Saw if you still have it? I'm about to order one but don't know what width shaft parallel guide to order. It looks to be around 10 to 13mm, maybe 1/2" but it's impossible to tell from pictures.

I’d have to dig for that saw but I knew where the track was so I measured that. The raised rail that fits in the slot under the saw is 15.71mm wide by 5.5mm tall. Hope that helps. I grabbed the auto hammer off Amazon for ya. We’ll try and get to it in a few weeks. Thanks for watching!

@@ProjectsForAllReviews Thanks very much Mike. I will work it out from there, otherwise just wait until the saw arrives here in New Zealand. Ordered it and track yesterday along with the auto hammer and 12v right angle impact driver. Had a bit of a spend up for Prime Days. Who doesn't like new tools for cheap. Got the auto hammer for a steal at 42% off and free shipping to New Zealand. US$65.63 / NZ$109.69 inc tax all up. It almost really did feel like stealing it. LoL Looking forward to your review video on it. It looks like a handy tool. Thanks again for the measurements.

Nothing wrong with the fence on the 4100 IMO but it’s tough to beat the reliability of a rack and pinion fence. There’s a reason every saw has this fence style now. Thanks for watching!

Mike - I like your channel and videos but I have one friendly suggestion for you. You either need to back up the camera a little bit or slow down how quickly you’re moving your hands and stuff in the videos. It’s just a bit uncomfortable to watch because everything seems so fidgety and flashing around due to the close speed. Kind of like a Michael Bay Transformers movie… thanks and good luck with your channel, I’m looking forward to watching it grow!

Mike! About a year ago you promised to review the Kobalt 10" KT 10152 table saw in the "near (ish) future". And now you're reviewing this red-headed stepchild THING from Bosch?!?!?! I'm aghast and disappointed. So... when? Good video, as usual, however.

@@ProjectsForAllReviews See, that's what I was afraid of: obsolescence before review! LOL. The 10152 succeeded the (I believe), 10151 (or 10150). They look similar, but the improvements on the 10152 are significant. I'd really love to see/hear your assessment of this saw-- as I bought one about 1.5 years ago-- I'm pleased with it.
