This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool kzbin.infoUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

Interesting thanks. but how comes when you send a drill back to Bosch for repair and it takes at least 2 weeks to repair, and you can do it in less than 15 minutes , 👍

Malcom,My GBH2SR 620 W hammer drill.,,recently when switched on to use,sparked ,then internally went “Bang” ,I’ve stripped it as far as the commutator,cleaned it,waiting for new brushes A96, off eBay,I want to know how much does Bosch charge to fix a fault, brushes had plenty left on them,cleaned power switch on/ off .there’s a couple of components that could be faulty,but how to test!,, is it worth having fixed .cheers for any info!

Tengo este mismo y se dañó el reten del mandril por lo que tira la grasa hacia adelante y mancha las brocas, en Argentina no me inspira confianza ningun servicio tecnico, con este video me animaré a desarmar y reparar yo mismo, eres muy aplicado y generoso con tu conocimiento, muchisimas gracias por el aporte! Zur Schmierung verwendet man hier Fliessfett, kein normales Fett. Das Getriebe wurde ohne innere Schmierung zusammengebaut u. das Schmierfett nur außen aufgebracht. So macht es die Maschine bestimmt nicht lange.

I have to admit, I wasn't as fired up about this one. However, I like your work so I watched. THEN I got to 6:38 and I loved it. Boom. That's what I want to see. I wish you'd take a couple of these and show what settings you use for continuity tests, what you test, and why. Really give a full class on testing old machinery. It'll get the most watches as we come back and watch it numerous times to learn what you do.

All great. Though it would be best to clean up the commutator with a fine polishing pad just a bit, not too much to conserve surface roughness. Sanding it may affect proper commutation and reduce motor life.

You have NOT put grease inside hammer mechanism! It wont work for a long time, also the grease is to thick.

How did he make it better than new? Unless the new bearings are better than the old ones when they were new, all he did was clean it. The wear and tear on the exterior is still there. This was merely a service, not a restoration.

Not to hate or talk bad however the casing on that drill is not meant to have grease in it, it requires a specific oil that has a very thin viscosity. I will likely have other issues due to the grease if it is indeed put back into the work field. Next time try to find the proper oil.

You should not use sandpaper to remove oxidized copper at the surface of armatures as this would damage the armature and causing sparks/arcs when the motor runs. Use metal polish instead.

The barrel/piston etc should be thoroughly greased inside, it won't work long after such refreshment.

Your testing of the armature was incorrect... All your doing is buzzing stuff... You should be testing each field coil and COMPARING the values...which should be substantially the same... Likewise with the armature... Firstly by testing opposite segments....again each value obtained should be substantially the same... Then testing each segment to the adjacent segment... working around the commutator....again, each value obtained should be substantially the same... Finally an insulation test at 500V DC 1mA should be carried out between the commutator and the shaft... The commutator and the armature laminations... And the field windings and the field pack laminations... All you did here was a quick continuity buzz which tells you...precisely nothing... If your going to make attempts at testing stuff then at least do it properly...or don't bother even starting... Glenn. GLMelectrical..🇬🇧👍

Well done and time and money well spent for the repair. This is an awesome tool! Lightweight, powerful and very universal. It even has a left/right switch what is seldom found today. Love that when the drill gets stuck or for heavy screws. This model is about 30 years old and way better than many modern tools.
