Nice looking tool Matt, lots of sensible feature and the X-lock is a great innovation, I hope in time Bosch will make it available to other makes so we don't end up with multiple formats. I particularly like the paddle switch, quite uncommon in the 125mm size here in the UK but more common at 230mm I have found. I have the Bosch 12v mini angle grinder and that is brilliant and less intimidating for the smaller cut-off tasks !

bosch has allowed other brands too use the xlock system they have licenced it out i can see this going onto circular saws ect in the feature

Hi Matt, that grinder looks absolutely fantastic, my only issue would be, you have to have extra batteries, and theh can be the main cost, but would I get one, HELL YES, I do like the odd power tool, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👌👍👌👍

A quick look at screwfix and toolstation show that they are on par withe other standard discs for price. Bosch invented the sds chuck system too, so no reason this quick release system won't cath on.

This is just like Bosch's vein attempt to push the StarLock Oscillating bit system borrowed from Fein. This is completely impractical! Despite the fact that every wheel/accessory is proprietary and therefore more expensive and hard to find, if the locking system fails you loose the whole tool!!!

I like the extra features but it's 2 to 3 times the price of say a dewalt brushless 18v angle grinder, so unfortunately not for me

I don't normally wear a dusty mask when using my angle grinder, should I? I've normally got a full face shield with built in eat defenders, but nothing for my lungs.
