Just simple question. When conventional panel is supplied with EOL, connected to zone terminal, should I remove it when zone connections are made ? Already have connected EOL at end of loop. Thanks in advance. :)

Seems like a neat panel! The only thing I don't like about it is that it's easy for people to tamper with. There is no door to it, and there is no key hole to enable the buttons.

@bluecylinder They have put the cable glands on that way so you can't see anything sticking out of the panel and so you can push the cables down more so you can't see them. (do you understand what i mean)?

but when assembling the panel, how certain in the technician that zone one is zone one, and that zone two is zone two before placing the zone labels inside?

You will test them later and see which device corresponds with each zone then record it down on the zone chart simples !

I have one problem. I have one FACP in the commercial building which is old (addressable type) and i am a designer of the renovation of some part of that building where we need more smoke detectors. my question is this. Can the new model of the same brand be compatible with the old in terms of looping it together. ( the brand is simplex) it will be great help. Thanks in advance to anyone who is able to help

As long as the panels are both addressable than you are good. Simplex uses a device called a class A ZAM module. It basically makes a conventional device addressable. It goes on The signaling line circuit (SLC). Just make sure both panels are MAPNET or IDNET.

Straight away this is incorrect. Batteries should be installed vertically with sufficient space around them to breathe as per manufactures specifications. FAIL.
