I have owned a Bosch dishwasher for the past 27 years. I have never had a problem with it -- it washes dishes superbly, and still runs like it is brand new. I cannot say that for Kitchenaid, as several of their products have broken down after only a few years. If I could afford to replace all my appliances with Bosch, I would instantly do it, but am now on a fixed income and cannot afford to. But I shall never stop praising the quality of my Bosch dishwasher.

Kitchen Aid is better than Bosch. Especially now they have a food soil sensor and if it senses the food soil on your dishes being tough, it will extend the wash time and add temperature to the water. I know people who bought Bosch and they really regret it. My Kitchen Aid is the best dishwasher I ever had.

Ah...... no. I've owned a KitchenAid since 2018. The ONLY requirement anybody should have when buying an appliance is RELIABILITY. I understand women focus on how it looks but you have to actually do your homework before making a major purchase.

I have the Kitchen Aid KDFM404KPS, and although I do like it because of the freeflex top rack. One thing I don't like is the intensity of the spray action during the wash cycle. The spray action remains the same throughout. Dosen't matter what cycle you choose. As a result, heavily soiled dishes may not entirely clean well without pre-rinsing. My LG dishwasher had the capability of changing its wash algorithm from soft to intense spray depending on the level of soil in the water. The feature proved very effective and is similar to the Bosch dishwasher shown here.

I get irritated when people focus on the sound level. It's a machine! The only thing you should be focusing on is reliability since the majority of dishwashers can't get past 2-3 years without breaking. From all reports, Bosch should last at least 10 years!

Bosch dominated the market for years, but this generation of KitchenAid has caught up with Bosch's quality and performance. With that said, I personally prefer and recommend KitchenAid because the rack layout is superior, and I believe the fan assisted dry is also superior to Bosch's advanced drying technology.

I have a 14 year old Frigidaire Gallery that is starting to act up a bit, but still works, cleaning and drying well. It is shutting itself off when I try to run the energy saver cycle, so I have to use the normal wash. With all the reviews I have been reading, I can't expect to get 14 years out of any new one. Mine still works, and I fear I will get a lemon to replace it. I have been looking at the Kitchenaid 404 or the Bosch 500 as possible replacements. I am leaning toward the Kitchenaid, only because I don't want the whole wifi thing. I would just rather push a button.

My 18yo Bosch just died. It's the one and only time I ever had an issue. Appears one of the pumps went out. These are the two brands I settled on Bosch vs KA..and while I might have a slight bias towards Bosch, the slightly cheaper price point for KA has my attention. Not sure I can go wrong with either....depends on what's on sale this week I guess.

Call my family Bosch loyalists. Between us we have 5 of them, 1 from 2000, 2 from 2010, 1 from 2012,, 1 this year to replace a 6 month old Frigidaire which made dishes dirtier than when they went in. All of them are still going strong. No regrets about them other than the Obama-Era ones which lacked the Rinse/Hold function. The only KItchenAid I used was growing up, a 1970s KitchtenAid by Hobart. Nowhere near as quiet as today's, but it cleaned fantastically.

We have the Bosch 800 with Crystal Dry. It works very well. I hate DW that stick out so definitely Bosch for me. I do not like the racks as much. It is hard to fit lots of bowls and bulky casserole dishes or pans. European brands put the tines too close on the bottom rack. The top silverware rack is weird too. There are a lot of too short nubs that don't do anything. I have an Asko elsewhere and the silverware rack is better.

I am thinking of purchasing 604 kitchenaid model or 404 model. However have seen lot of comments on hummung, buzzing louder sound and the spindle sprayer below the top 3rd rack turning causing lot of noise. Is this true ? Also in 604 kitchenaid model, the fan at the very end starts for drying and nosiy. Bosch 800 series has lesser moving parts and less noiser but top rack is not as deep as kitchenaid. Also Bosch 800 has rotating arms at the bottom plastic over steel in case of kitchenaid. Not sure which one to consider kitchen aid 404 or 604 or Bosch 800 series ? Bosh has myway 3rd rack much deeper but looks like their website does not sell any dishwasher with that any longer. Can someone suggest kitchen aid 604 and 404 experience if its loud ? Also cycles are longer 3 hours in kitchen aid not sure if bosch 800 cycle time is similar to 3 hours ?

Both will get your dishes clean and both use condensation drying. They advertise how well this new condensation type drying dries dishes, but my son's family had the Bosch 800, which I forget what they call it, but it's a brand new type of drying, well, even their dishes come out damp. You decide if it's worth it to you, but the Kitchenaid 400, 200, and 100 series, has the heating element on the bottom of the tub so your dishes come out really dry. With the Bosch, there is only condensation type drying on all models. Yes, you can put plastics on the bottom rack with all the Bosch, but, who cares, when all the dishes, including the plastics, come out damp, not dry.

Too expensive. The new Bosch dishwashers are stupid. Try loading one these. The Kitchenaid dishwashers actually seem to be designed by people that actually load dishwashers. Miele. Another joke. AutoDos. Seriously. This feature will cost you another dishwasher in 10 years due to the high cost of the stupid cartridges. Oh and Bosch dishwashers even top control ones sit flush. Good luck with seeing the controls and now you have to rely on stupid tricks to see the progress of you dishes. You will have to open you dishwasher to use or see the controls.

Do NOT get Bosch 800 Series. I'm replacing that overpriced piece of junk with a KitchenAid. The 800 Series has a E-15 error that the repairman said is due to the Crystal Dry feature. It allowing water to leak into a supposedly sealed area in the bottom of the unit triggering a sensor to shut down the whole system. The error is not a one-off event. It will continue over and over again and unless you know how to repair appliances - you'll will be calling in for service frequently. The repairman for the local appliance store which sold us the unit said the series needs to be discontinued because it is a known problem that has no reliable solution.
