I have a Bosch washing machine and I emailed them "Hi, If I am running a wash but I want to stop it and remove some coins etc from the drum and then restart the wash , how do I do this ? many thanks Mike" they replied back and said "Unfortunately it is not possible to stop the programme throughout the wash cycle." Can this be right ?!?! Please help if you know a way ! And many thanks for a very interesting youtube channel

Well there’s no official way, you could turn dial to Off and then switch off at the mains plug. But not if it’s full of water.

I can give you a quick tip to stop mould from building up in the draw, if you leave it open a little bit and the door open a little bit this can remove any smelly Oder and mould build up :)

👍👍👍 Very useful 👍. My Bosch series 4 washing machine always shows low water pressure indication. This is because of the height of the water tank. There is no block in water line and filter. Machine always work in this low water pressure. Is there any possibility of damage because of this?

In theory no because it just opens the valve to let in cold water, it may not get as much in as it should but it shouldn’t affect it too much. It may just be a bit sensitive

Hi there... Thanks for that video, We have the same Bosch washing machine as you. I definitely need to clean my soap holder.👍 We have a situation, where one of my partners bras (with metal lining) has somehow caught the inter part of the rubber door seal. It has ripped it in two places. At present the machine is watertight, but the rubber seal needs to be replaced. I have seen loads of KZbin videos on how to do this, but none of them show the exact same machine as ours. Some of the videos show them having to remove the top and front to get to the seal, where one actually does it without removing the casing. Do you, or does anyone else have any experience of this. Thanks

Yes you can but not too much powder else it will overflow with soap and foam.

I was just wondering for the Bosch Serie 4 can you use washing powder detergent rather than liquid detergent to wash the clothes? Why I ask is because in the Bosch manual it obly recommends using liquid detergents that are self flowing. Thank you, Tom.

If it's this Bosch model it doesn't have a belt, it's an electric magnetic motor. Else if it's a model with a belt then yes it could be worn or stretched possibly

Probably something stuck in there. Just have to try untightening then tightening and try wiggling machine and see if that debris will work it’s way loose. Maybe try some pliers but be careful as it’s only a plastic filter.

I have series 8 Bosch washing machine but no drum clean cycle Can I use cottons cycle on 90 degrees (no speed perfect) which would take 2 hours and 45 minutes or the same thing but with speed perfect which would reduce the time to 1 hour as an alternative?

Yes do the 1 hour version, it doesn't need to be on that long. 90C with some Dr Beckmann's or a tiny bit of detergent will give it a good clean through.

Sounds like the drum rubber is damaged or an internal hose, be hard to diagnose without taking it apart or maybe turn it upside down (but water will be everywhere again)

I think it only does Pre Wash on Curtains setting which is a long washing programme. There isn’t a specific pre wash function you can select

If you run a Drum clean with too much detergent you will get overload Sudslock where foam and soap suds pour out of every orifice. Hopefully it was just that. Don’t need much detergent or use Dr Beckmanns

I have this washing machine, it has started leaking from inside the casing somewhere and making a noise when draining.. is still under warranty JUST but any ideas if there is an easy fix as the engineer won't come out before the warranty runs out and I might have to sort the bugger my self. I am a gas engineer/ plumber, but no white goods experience at all. Cheers!

Could be a number of things. 1. Check the drum inside to make sure no debris in there, ie. bits of wire stuck in the holes (bra wires can come out) 2. Older clothes do weaken and will get holes 3. Overloading the machine can cause holes, also zips on jeans etc so always wash them inside out.
