I have been using SONOS1 From last 7 years. it was installed in my office in Munich Germany. I was really impressed by its sound quality so bought one from there. It works only over wifi. Since then company has introduced so many speakers.

Two in my family circle owns Samsung 990C and Bose SB900 + Woofer + Satellites (it is the top end model).Multiple times I listened both in actual home setup - 5.1 Surround, Atmos and 2 Channel Stereo. And Let me tell you Samsung is at par. This is also confirmed my many international reviews. Most important in ROI. Samsung take home price is 83K (soundbar + surround speakers + Sub Woofer). Bose cost was 2 Lakh. No way it sound 2X better.

Sonos is a very popular brand out here in North America, not sure if it’s a good product for India though because they are expensive and requires you to be an Apple iPhone user. People here in America buy Sonos due to its eco-system, when they want a long term relationship in which they purchase Sonos speakers as they go. Let me give you my example, I bought Sonos beam gen 2 many years ago for my 55” TV which was placed in a medium sized living room and an apartment. The sound quality was a wow factor initially, and the lack of bass didn’t bother me because I couldn’t make much noise in that apartment. Then I added two surround sound speakers to it, the Sonos One SL. This gave me a 5.0.0 system, the addition made a lot of difference to the sound experience, now I had an open room filling lively sound from corner to corner. Then I moved into a big house where I bought an 85” TV and placed it in a 12ftx23ft room, now I could have bass!! So I saved up for a Sonos Sub Gen 3 and bought it. Now I had a proper 5.1.0 system. My place was much bigger for a Sonos beam, I felt that due to the smaller size of the beam, the front channel separation was lacking, so after a couple of years I moved the Sonos beam to another room that has my old 55” TV and bought a Sonos Arc for my main large screen TV. Now I have a 5.1.2 system I.e. a proper Dolby Atmos system. So you can see why people choose Sonos, I slowly built an ecosystem and the experience never got old. I can’t do it effectively with any other brand. Now in the future I’ll move Sonos One SL to my living room where my Beam is, and add probably Era100 speakers or Era300 speakers to my Sonos Arc, that will upgrade my system to a 7.1.2 or 7.1.4 respectively. I can even add another subwoofer and have dual subwoofers, that’ll give me a 7.2.4 system. It’s a never ending story, we buy Sonos and we usually don’t need to sell them because they always have their place somewhere in the house. All this combined with the sound quality makes Sonos a very unique brand.

@ they are both premium brands and they both sound good, saying that one doesn’t come close to the other is simply not true. They both sell lots of soundbar based systems. I do however feel that Indians sound very bullish about Bose, it may stem from the fact that Bose was only one of the few premium brands that have been traditionally available for the Indian buyers.

I was looking forward to buying a bose 600 soundbar but my TV had only ARC and not eARC so it wouldn’t have supported ATMOS so I bought bose 300 soundbar just last week. I have always been a bose fan and I never really cared for any other brand. But I have to say your video has to be the most detailed and exhaustive and honest comparison video between bose and sonos. I watched quite a few of them before buying. Big fan of your content. 💯🔥 By the way the soundbar is awesome as expected. Next level audio quality. Bose is Boss indeed.

Vineet ji plz do not give wrong information. Sonos is also an omni directional sub woofer. I am using Sonos arc with Sonos Sub Gen3 and I am damn sure about it. Sonos Sub Mini is also an omni directional sub woofer.

Agreed, Sonos sub mini is omni directional as well and can be placed anywhere. I have both Bose and Sonos and love them both. Hard to go wrong with either of them.

Its of limited value. No soundbar can product 5.1 surround or Atmos effect without satellites. Further Bass response is weak without sub woofer.

I have Bose 600 Soundbar paired with Bose bass module 500. It’s been a few weeks and I am absolutely loving it. The best Soundbar in this range. My brother who lives abroad has used both Sonos and Bose and he found Bose to be much more balanced, deeper bass and provides a better atmos experience.

Really great review. I’m very impress With the explanation. I hope you also make video for mid budget 5.1.2 atmos setup without soundbar like with proper 3 front channel, 2 surround channel , 2 ceiling speakers and a subwoofer. Personally I find individual speakers setup better than soundbars.

@thilakrajg3689 Yes bro. Sony as a company may make great headphones, speakers, mobile phones, but when it comes to soundbar they just suck. If you really need a sony soundbar then go with HT-A7000. Don't even bother with their budget or mid range soundbars. For midrange soundbar go with Sonos or Bose.

Well bass module 500 stands no where in front of bass module 700 , bass module 700 is beast , now talking about soundbar , Bose 700 and 900 are the premium sound bars with immersive surround which u can never find on lower models, so whoever has Bose soundbar 700 or 900 with bass module 700 can easily stay with them for years , Cherry on the top is Bose virtual surround speakers , they take immersive sound experience to the next level . Good review though, keep up the good work .

Here there is a thing, I have spent hours listning to Sonos vs Bose Sonos will work at full potential only after Trueplay. Bose is only overpowering with the low frequency however its balanced in Sonos. Hence my bet is on sonos.

Hello Vineet, Do u remember when u made Yamaha Yas 209 video I asked u a question about SONOS Beam 1 sound bar U had replied to me saying not aware of the brand. No Indian KZbin channel has given proper review to SONOS, thanks to you for making aware of the brand to others. I have purchased Yamaha Yas 209 but was confused with Sonos beam 1. Both price wise during sale was oly 3k diff. Please do review SONOS Beam 1 too. Fun fact SONOS has won many awards for its sound quality and one of the best soundbars in the market.
