Bose 600 Soundbar vs Sonos Beam 2 Soundbar | Dolby Atmos Home Theater

Bose has launched Bose 600 Soundbar in India with Dolby Atmos. Sonos also launched their Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos. So I decided to buy both and compare the Bose 600 Soundbar with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar. Many Dolby Atmos Soundbars are in the market from different brands, but I bought the Best Dolby Atmos Soundbars. I bought the Bose Bass Module 500 and the Bose Surround Speakers with the Bose Soundbar 600 to make it a full Dolby Atmos Home Theatre system. I also bought the Sonos Sub Mini Wireless Subwoofer and the Sonos One Gen 2 Wireless Speakers with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar to make it a proper Dolby Atmos Home Theater system. Now I will compare these Dolby Atmos Home Theater Systems from Bose and Sonos to tell you the Best between them.

I have been using SONOS1 From last 7 years. it was installed in my office in Munich Germany. I was really impressed by its sound quality so bought one from there. It works only over wifi. Since then company has introduced so many speakers.

Vineet ji plz do not give wrong information. Sonos is also an omni directional sub woofer. I am using Sonos arc with Sonos Sub Gen3 and I am damn sure about it. Sonos Sub Mini is also an omni directional sub woofer.

Agreed, Sonos sub mini is omni directional as well and can be placed anywhere. I have both Bose and Sonos and love them both. Hard to go wrong with either of them.

Its of limited value. No soundbar can product 5.1 surround or Atmos effect without satellites. Further Bass response is weak without sub woofer.

Really great review. I’m very impress With the explanation. I hope you also make video for mid budget 5.1.2 atmos setup without soundbar like with proper 3 front channel, 2 surround channel , 2 ceiling speakers and a subwoofer. Personally I find individual speakers setup better than soundbars.

I have Bose 600 Soundbar paired with Bose bass module 500. It’s been a few weeks and I am absolutely loving it. The best Soundbar in this range. My brother who lives abroad has used both Sonos and Bose and he found Bose to be much more balanced, deeper bass and provides a better atmos experience.

And Let me tell you Samsung is at par. This is also confirmed my many international reviews. Most important in ROI. Samsung take home price is 83K (soundbar + surround speakers + Sub Woofer). Bose cost was 2 Lakh. No way it sound 2X better.

Aapne Truespace nahi bataya Bose mein. Truespace also got better now in BSS 600. I own BSS 300 & 600 both are premium in terms of audio quality but BSS 600 has better soundstage.

Sonos is a very popular brand out here in North America, not sure if it’s a good product for India though because they are expensive and requires you to be an Apple iPhone user. People here in America buy Sonos due to its eco-system, when they want a long term relationship in which they purchase Sonos speakers as they go. Let me give you my example, I bought Sonos beam gen 2 many years ago for my 55” TV which was placed in a medium sized living room and an apartment. The sound quality was a wow factor initially, and the lack of bass didn’t bother me because I couldn’t make much noise in that apartment. Then I added two surround sound speakers to it, the Sonos One SL. This gave me a 5.0.0 system, the addition made a lot of difference to the sound experience, now I had an open room filling lively sound from corner to corner. Then I moved into a big house where I bought an 85” TV and placed it in a 12ftx23ft room, now I could have bass!! So I saved up for a Sonos Sub Gen 3 and bought it. Now I had a proper 5.1.0 system. My place was much bigger for a Sonos beam, I felt that due to the smaller size of the beam, the front channel separation was lacking, so after a couple of years I moved the Sonos beam to another room that has my old 55” TV and bought a Sonos Arc for my main large screen TV. Now I have a 5.1.2 system I.e. a proper Dolby Atmos system. So you can see why people choose Sonos, I slowly built an ecosystem and the experience never got old. I can’t do it effectively with any other brand. Now in the future I’ll move Sonos One SL to my living room where my Beam is, and add probably Era100 speakers or Era300 speakers to my Sonos Arc, that will upgrade my system to a 7.1.2 or 7.1.4 respectively. I can even add another subwoofer and have dual subwoofers, that’ll give me a 7.2.4 system. It’s a never ending story, we buy Sonos and we usually don’t need to sell them because they always have their place somewhere in the house. All this combined with the sound quality makes Sonos a very unique brand.

@@swarnendudas9315 I have owned and listened to high end system so know what to expect after spending that much of amount. Fact is for 80-85K, Samsung is a tremendous buy. Bose may have some slight edge in few areas , but that will cost you 2 Lakh which make zero sense. For proper experience, dimension and architecture of room is also important. For example, for ATMOS, false ceiling will absorb most of the reflection and degrading the effect. Thus the mix of sound bar technology and your own room geometry which will ultimately decide the final sound experience.

Hello sir, I love to watch your videos, but in my opinion sound bar not 100% good, comparing to individual spears system, why because we need to sit center of sound bar, then only we can enjoy, if we sit a side we can not feel proper surround sound, if we use separate speaker system, if sit any corner we can feel sound, I like individual spears ❤

A very biased review towards bose, i have been using bose soundbar 500 along with sub and rears, but the sonos surround as per me beats it hands down on all fronts. Also the customisation that sonos gives is next level. Bose doesnt evem comes close. Sonos is more like apple when it comes to ecosystem. You need to be in it to believe it. BTW where did you manage to get the sonos Sub mini for ₹40000 ?????? it comes for ₹46000 after putting all discounts
