I had this same issue with my QC35's that were a few months out of warranty; however, Bose replaced them free of charge with the updated model. Unfortunately, the replacements are having the same issue (about 2.5 years later). Seems like they haven't addressed the issue.

Happened to my Bose. Won't buy Bose in the future unless this is addressed. Imagine spending $350 on headphones and they go out two years later, oh wait, no need to imagine, that's reality.
@sl5234 жыл бұрын
Having the same issue now. I won't even buy it even if it's addressed in the future, which would just be a PR stunt. Fool me once, shame on you. Never again, BOSE.

Ear cuffs busted, switch broken, plus hardware bug that switched the headphones on & off. Garbage product.

Same thing happened to me, I took it apart, cleaned the power switch with rubbing alcohol, and it seemed to have worked. Than 5 days later it started doing it again. Fast forward 2 months later it won’t even play at all now. Tried cleaning again and we’ll see if it works this time. I won’t buy Bose again neither until this is addressed, which sucks cus they’re great headphones.

Hello .. help me here. An old person begging 🙏 .., Same type of thing for me but mine are only 10 months old AND it was a slightly different switch issue. BUT Where do I mail it? How do you find this stuff out? There were no written instructions when I bought it. Do you have to call them first? It seems so old fashion to mail something back and wait until they “fix” it and the mail it back to you. It seems like an impossibility in this day and age.

I'm having an issue with mine, theyre not switching fully on on their own, rather; blue Bluetooth indicator light stays on when you switch them off and drains the power that way

I have the Quietcomfort 45's and after watching a video just figured it was the top plastic switch. I took it apart and discovered that the actual black plastic piece that the switch goes over had broken off. It's not like I'm overly rough when turning these on or off so very disappointed.

After having these headphones for nearly 4 years I noticed my switch was faulty and randomly turning on the headphones. I called Bose up and to my surprise they were happy send me out a new pair of QC35 II at no cost to me which is an updated version of the originals with a modified button.

Exact same problem with my QC 35 headphones I just hate when you buy supposedly quality products and find the companies default position is go into denial about defects and they are everywhere had the same with bmw about suspension and brake discs

I got the issue since 3days. I could fix it (probably only temporary) right now by really fast switching on and off for like 20seconds... some dust came out too from between the switch

We're having a very similar issue just two months after the warranty expired..."Fun" fact: My wife and I for 95% only used them at home and didnt even put them in the case. The response was I could get a replacement for about 120€. I got many soundtouch products at home and I am regretting having bought them...My next pair of headphones, which I want to buy in the next few weeks will most likely be NOT FROM BOSE with its PREMIUM PRICES and INFERIOR SERVICE.

Yeah I just got some 45s about 2 months ago and I'm having this power issue. Really terrible because for the price I paid these shouldn't just shit the bed. To bad because now I'm never buying anything Bose like I won't buy anything Samsung ever again in my lifetime.

I have the same issue with not powering off. Try speaking with Bose’s tech support people. The most appalling experience! The agent was literally reading a script and could barely be understood. There was no acknowledgement of the issue nor alignment nor assurance. What weak service for a well-known brand. This is what fuels the long-standing definition of BOSE - Buy Other Sound Equipment.
@MrEuromaverick5 жыл бұрын
Same story here. Been a loyal Bose customer for years, spending a little fortune on their products. That’s over now because Bose does not acknowledge and takes care of a bad piece of plastic that costs two dollars. Unbelievable...
@Solstice422 жыл бұрын
same issue - owned headphones for 4 years and yesterday they would not turn off ... agree, this is terrible product support from Bose
@surreyhub71086 ай бұрын
I think you were just unlucky I had mine for years use the all the time and never had this issue and 2 other family members have same headphone with no issues. Or maybe in your case it was just a bad batch or something
@reelgreens41275 ай бұрын
I don’t think you’re in a position to judge who’s unlucky. My QC35’s also have this issue. It’s clearly a widespread issue and Bose seem to have their head in the sand by not taking proactive measures to support their customers!
@imxd96984 жыл бұрын
Nice that Bose makes the warranty on these only a year KNOWING that this is an issue that happens with their headphones after a year and a half. Fuck Bose, never again, and I will be recommending other brands to folks.

Thats why I didn't preordre the new Bose or buy any thing from them. I called them last year, and they don't know the issue back than. And they offered me to buy a new QC35 on discount when i sent the broken one back. I can find it cheaper then they replace it for with discount in Denmark. It sad and stupid, the service they provide. And I have few of their cabel phones. Any my QC 35 just collect dust, kinda sad.

I have the same problem with my QC35 headphones. After this I would be very hesitant to buy a BOSE product again, since it is such a wide spread problem. In order for a company to take such a product defect seriously, we really need to vote with out wallets. Such a shame otherwise I like the headphones, but for a premium priced product we expect better products and replacement policies.
@scannon903 жыл бұрын
I bought my Bose QC35 over five years ago, I have been using them between four and eight hours a day, and now, yes, my switch is starting to become glitchy, but I have gotten a lot of hard use out of them over a long time, and I would have no reservations about buying another pair or recommending them to someone else.

My Bose H9 gen 3 stopped working too, I will not buy another
@co9fm244 жыл бұрын
Its a stupid design fault by BOSE here, the switch cover (the plastic bit) is offset to below the actual switch rather than it just be directly on top of the switch, so there are constantly two forces on the plastic at any time you use the switch. This is a premium product by them and its a con.. they will lose business from this

Literally own these headphones and contacted Bose on two separate occasions...both folks told me I could just "buy a new pair" lol. So long Bose! I'm hoping Apple releases their over-ear headphones this year (I own and use the QC35s (when I can...), AirPod Pro, and Powerbeats Pro. Definitely don't have an issue spending money on headphones that meet my needs, but don't want to buy something that's going to break in two years because of a defect and then have the manufacturer tell me to "go get fucked". No thanks)
