Better to describe how the sound will feel to the user. In my opinion, it's not necessary to go so in detail with the sound. Your opinion and how a customer would like it.

Thanks for the feedback. I get what you mean. These types of cans rarely get reviewed here so I mostly just adapted the format, but will keep that in mind for future reviews.

I appreciated the details here where I could not find in other reviews though. Other reviewers tend to focus on how the sound feel and we know that is always subjective and ever changing (after watching a bunch of different reviews). This review focuses more on technicalities which is what we audiophiles badly need and want, not based on just how it'll sound from reviewers perspective but based on facts and technicalities of the sound quality of the product is. This review are for rare people like us.

I enjoy the much more then the previous model. Loader , more detailed and better less muddy base. Also qc 45 sounds hands down better out of box then the Sony which sound fuzzy to me in compassion. Noise cancelling is much better too

Do you know what the harmon curve is? just curious because that frequency graph is not necessarily compensated for how the human ear impacts the frequencies at the inner ear and brain and also how the human brain perceive certain frequencies louder than others to help us hear the range in which we need to hear best to survive. this needs to be taken into consideration when looking at frequency graphs that may not be compensated. the harmon curve is more focused on preference rather than delivering a perceived flat curve after taking into consideration my aforementioned statements, but none the less the harmon target curve follows a similar thought process. with all that said, that curve does not look too bad, yes there may still be elevated highs in certain areas relative to the mids and lows, but more often than not harshness is caused by more individual frequencies and by simply cutting those frequencies with a very narrow band parametric EQ can fix any issues, rather than reducing the treble a a whole. I don't believe the Bose EQ provides this kind of control but I use my own EQ when using a PC and a Mac anyway. I haven't actually heard the QC45 but I thought I'd toss my 2c because a lot of people suffer from a placebo affect/confirmation bias when looking at headphone curves especially uncompensated and without the knowledge I just dropped and it can actually make the headphone sound a certain way to you.

I see you showed Equalizer APO when talking about reducing treble by 6dB... does that mean that simply reducing treble in the Bose app doesn't do the job well enough? And did you try the Soundguys suggested EQ (-5db to bass, default for mids and -10db to treble)? Their resulting graph looked pretty good.
@HeadphonePH2 жыл бұрын
No I have not tried the Soundguys EQ. I just played it by ear and reduced everything starting from 2khz by about 5db. The treble reducer on the app does reduce the brightness but not enough at least for my liking.

Could you share some more info about the sound leakage with this? At what volume percentage would other people surrounding you hear the sound leakage of the music you’re listening to?
@HeadphonePH2 жыл бұрын
I'm unfortunately not gonna be able to answer this as I no longer have the headphone. :-( The max volume I've used this headphone at is around 60-65% and I can say no one in the same room has complained about the leakage. Generally, leakage is minimal with sealed headphones while you're wearing them unless you plan to listen at max volume?

Hello, can you please share what EQ settings you did to get to the qc35 sound? Thanks
@HeadphonePH2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. I downshelved starting from 2khz upwards by about 5db. This reduces starting from the upper mids up to the high treble.

how do you rewind with the bowse qc45? I know to skip forward by skipping with the middle button. Please help me out here. thank you so much.
@HeadphonePH2 жыл бұрын
Aha good question. Triple pressing the middle button skips backwards but that's not rewind. Could you try triple pressing but holding the third press? Thats how I remember it working with the older QC35.

With the latest update providing EQ on the App. Is it possible to EQ the QC45 to sound similar to the QC35ii now?

I must say I disagree with him and the sound. They sound so 3 dimensional.

Love to boost the base up to 4 or 5 notches and they sound amazing. T
