I also have this Bose Speaker which i bought last year for Christmas. Sound quality sounds great for it's price. I always use this Speakers to listen music either on my Android phone or on my PC both of them sounds great. Happy that i bought this Product.

As a Muscian, I’m a pretty good judge at speaker quality. I’m 56yrs so no newbie, this unit is detailed in its presentation and is the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve had. For the money this is an excellent buy, and if it was twenty dollars more I would buy it. I’m absolutely delighted. One last thing try before you buy, tastes vary from person to person and with age and what’s good for me may not be for you.

I discovered the NFC quick pairing by accident when I had my phone in my hand and picked up the speaker from the top and it made a noise I never heard before. I use it all the time now. I really like this speaker. It had a sale on Amazon recently (and still may be) so it was a really good value. Typically Bose charges a PREMIUM for their products like the Quiet Comfort Headphones (that I paid nearly $500 for!) but this speaker was very fairly priced when on sale and meets the price point for most major quality speaker developers on the market. I use this speaker in the bathroom quite a bit sitting it on the ledge of the shower since it's waterproof or keeping it on the counter when brushing my teeth. It's really easy and convenient to carry around and I use it all over the house really. I often bring it down to the dinner table when sitting down with friends or family. Gets very loud for it's size and has the Bose quality I'd expect. The material feels nice and grippy. I got this limited edition Navy Blue colored one from Amazon and it's held up well. My biggest complaint about this speaker is that it doesn't give you specific information regarding the battery percentage on it's own without external devices but that's a small complaint.

Good simple review. No BS. I ordered mine on the Bose website for $94 over the weekend. I listen to mostly vids where there is talking, reports; secondly for music. Based on what I’ve heard, this is a good choice.

i have this and the Anker soundcore XL they are very close in sound only when side by side does it stand out the Anker has way better range and battery life, this Bose gets the nod in sound just by a hair it sounds fuller like there are many speaker in the room where the Anker sounds like it's coming for one location

I jest purchased this Bose speaker and paired it with my Sony Laptop. Only problem the volume controls on the speaker will not work. I have to change the volume using my laptop volume control. There must be a way to overcome this issue of volume control any solutions?

My question is, because I can't make up my mind between the Bosse Soundlink color 2 or Sony's SRS-XB2, I am a lazy person and have a bad knee and was wondering if I could control the volume, pause, play, skip using my IPhone once it's paired to the speaker? Hi Jared, yes you can control everything directly from your phone once it's paired. Yes, a bluetooth speaker like this is going to sound way better than the iphone's internal speaker since there are larger drivers and more power.

I got this speaker and its not playing when I use Pandora or any media. Bluetooth works when I make a call; however when I switch back to media I get no sound even though music is clearly in play mode. Can you please tell me what's that about? Do I need to return this or am I missing something here? (FYI not a speaker expert just enjoys music)

I was only able to test the original Soundlink Color in store, they sounded mostly the same to me, but I don't have one here to compare. It seems like the internals are the same and they only changed the look and added some features.

I don't have the Soundlink Mini 2 to compare, but from what I have heard from all 3, the Charge 3 has the best bass between them. The Bose have better mids and more detailed highs but lack a little on the bass side compared to the Charge 3. You can't go wrong with the Charge 3 and overall I think it is a better product, its fully waterproof and has better battery life. Good luck!

NFC is Near-field communication, which is a way for two devices to make a connection just by being near each other. So if you have an NFC compatible device you just have to tap the speaker to pair it. Even though the newer iphones have NFC, that feature can only be used for Apple Pay. So for now, you just have to pair the speaker through the bluetooth settings.

It's splash proof only, not fully waterproof, so it'll be okay in the rain, but it is not meant to be fully submerged in water. If you want fully waterproof, take a look at the JBL Charge 3 or UE Boom 2.
