This is one of the best, most thorough reviews I have experienced on KZbin! I appreciate it. I'd be curious to know how well the compression for vocals on this unit functions. Thanks again!!

Thank you for getting back to me, I didn't think I would get an answer. I went to my local BOSE yesterday with questions and one was about the Ethernet AC power system, and I understand I could use it if I had other speakers instead of BOSE set up. I still would like to get some " hands on". I'm so afraid of not getting it set back to where I have it set at. Thank you again!

Warrior poet, it's true intent is to be a very small and powerful mixer with save options so you can use it to record and sound the same live. I have used it to record and had a great time with it. Honestly the best way to learn about it is to go to guitar center and play with it

Do these T1 units still hold up today? Good life span/durability? (or is there a better option for the $..? ie $300/used) How do you connect/power this if you're not using it with the Bose PA? I read somewhere you need a special adapter / cable to power this thing from regular outlet.. Thanks

Mark Delos Santos I have never tried it but kick the phantom power on and send it in light a mic. I would try it before you buy it at a guitar center or a music shop that has the T1. I also would contact Bose ( they will give you the "it's not designed for that" stuff) but it should be fine since the signal is unpowered going in to the T1 but like I said. Try it before you buy it. Thanks man and have fun with your Bose L1 model ll

When you get everything setup in the Tonematch, does it "remember" when you unplug it? Does it have battery. Are the combo XLR - 1/4 inch inputs are the 1/4 inch tip/ring stereo or mono? I 'guess" you can select an input channel and adjust the "tonematch" settings and then select a different channel? What are you adjusting the input channels?

@@santafemikez9694 I tested the Bose and it didn't have any or much bottom end. I ended up with the EV Evolve 50 for much less money and twice the sound. The "Tone Match" is built-in and has many more options.

Can I use a 1/4 TS unbalanced out from the T1 AUX and send via splitter to powered speakers as a combined MONO input? Does the T1 Aux output combine LR channels to a MONO output when using 1/4 TS unbalanced cables?

I would recommend calling Bose l1 support number, they are really active with communication. Sorry I am not 100% but Bose techs are cool and easy to talk to.

I just bought an L1 Model 2 system. I have been playing small gigs just using my guitar, a Trace Elliot TA-200 acoustic amp and a TC Helicon vocal harmonizer. I would like to run all of this into my Bose system. Am I able to do this, and if so, how do I go about setting it up? Thanks for your assistance. Great tutorial video!

guitar on channel 1 go to guitar options, trace elliot direct out to channel 2 go to bass options, your mic cable for the mic and also add chorus, reverb and delay if you want to channel 3. 5 channels, you still have two more channels you can use. balance all the instruments

Hi Wilsen , I bought L1 Model II, PROBLEM : base power does not have enough inputs for cables , I used yesterday , the T toner, terrible sound for my Flamenco Guitar, so I connected my mixer, Terrible sound for my tracks, gives me sound like 1935, recording, MONO, and my bose has 24 drives. I had the Classic one , which was amazing for the kind of music I play, had stereo outputs, all the inputs in pairs, do you know how can I solve the problem ? , how can I combine DELAY AND REVERB at the same time with the T tone mach , my show was terrible yesterday and today, looking forward to hear from you, thx.

Ok, so there is a couple ways to handle the situation. How was you guitar attacked to the l1? Mic? Or plug? Also what preset you use? Or did you use a preset? If you don't use a preset then all audio coming out of the l1 will be flat. The presets are predetermined waves that are set for a certain type of instrument but your guitar might sound better with a microphone setting or just use a mic to adjust the settings. For example, some times I use the accordion setting on the bose t1. You just got to play around with it cause there is not much info on how to get the best sound. As far as not having enough connections? Use a bigger mixer but a nice one. Also what kind of bass module you use? B1 or b2 cause there is a huge difference.

Nice bit of explaining there :) Thanks. We're thinking of getting the L1 for some small gigs but can you tell me if you can connect a USB directly to the tonematch for playback of tracks without using a PC/laptop etc?
@wilsenssessions52159 жыл бұрын
Jatinda MusicUk The USB port allows you to connect the T1 to a computer. this feature allows you to stream audio to/from your computer, update the T1 and back up the "Scenes" or save files to a computer but I have not tried using any other device yet. what device you have in mind? As you can tell I love mine and the more I can do with it the better. so if you got a new idea, that's great. I have just run an audio 1/8 with 1/4 inch adapter into my Ipone headphone jack into one of the 3 XLR/ 1/4 inch inputs.

I'm a little confused when I saw you talking about the Ethernet power system you plug into the wall to power up the Tonematch. I have the cable that both ends are Ethernet, one goes to my BOSE system speaker and the other end goes into my Bose T1 Tonematch. When would I use just the Ethernet AC power system? Thanks, I enjoyed your video. I've been using BOSE for quite some time and wish I had a one on one to learn how and when to use all it has to offer.
@wilsenssessions52157 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. The T1 mixer has an extra peripheral that will allow you to use a power supply instead of the Ethernet for power so you can use the T1 as a regular mixer on other systems. www.ebay.com/itm/182615411339

I preset all my basses on each channel. Electric active bass on channel 1, acoustic bass with noise gate on channel 2, passive bass with reverb on channel 3. Then DI to house system when you play live

Scu'me my man, but... is this some kind of high-tech digital D.I. box? Or is it designed for studio/recording tone conditioning? It's usage or practical application seems quizzically lost to me.
@wilsenssessions52159 жыл бұрын
Warrior Poet this thing is amazing, tones of options and........ok. time for tech talk. lets start with AUX-it can send selected channels through the output pre/ post. built in Tuner which is right on the money. Tonematch technology which is a fancy way of saying if you are using a Sure 57, it already has a preset ready for the mic ad you can adjust it further per your request. next is zEQ which is my favorite feature. pre you presets of dry signal you can adjust the low/mid/high in the range of the mic/ instrument/ drum, etc. Para EQ provides Level, frequency and width parametrics EQ controls for a single band. Level- boost/cut level from +15dB to -15dB, Freq- center frequency 50HZ to 8000 HZ and Width from .20 octave to 5.00 octave. Comp/Gate- gates, compression, limiter, de-esser and a kick drum preset. mods- chorus, flanger, phaser, and tremolo. Delays- 3 types of delay. Reverb- well add reverb....lol like I said tons of stuff. I would highly recommend just go into guitar center or where ever is closer to you and just mess with it as much as possible because the sales guy who sold me my Bose L1 compact said just to get a behringer mixer because he thought the T1 was a waste of money. I started trying it out and dropped the money on it. the T1 makes the Bose system amazing. L1 systems are awesome but with the Tonematch....It is awesome and I finally get the tone ive always wanted and I am very picky. I have spent a lot of time on this product and I love it. When I record in the studio my bass tracks, its great. I sound the same live and in the studio. all my setting are saved and I am always ready.

Hey man, great review.Just one quick question for you, how do you save mic settings to one channel?I have tried over and over and when I save the settings for my sm58 in scenes it saves to all channels.I only want to run vocals through the tonematch but when I move to the next channel and save the next lot of settings, it saves to all channels again.Just to make it clear, I want to have different mods for each channel for different singers etc, how do I do that?ThanksMike from New Zealand.
@wilsenssessions52158 жыл бұрын
Goodtunes NZ different mics? I just channel edit, tone match engine select mic type, zEq adjust EQ, para EQ adjust and add effects if need be. Don't forget to use compressor on the comp/gate. After channel one is set use ch edit button on channel 2 and repeat steps. If you want I can make a reply video

Can the ToneMatch work with other powered speakers ?
@wilsenssessions52157 жыл бұрын
sorry for the late response, Im sure it will but you need an AC adaptor to power it. It is normally powered via ethernet cable so an AC adaptor with an ethernet connect is needed. www.ebay.com/itm/BOSE-POWER-SUPPLY-T1-Tone-match-115-230V-/272659516393?hash=item3f7bc60be9:g:6u0AAOSwONBZDSQY

I have a L1 Compact. I can't understand the explanation about the wires needed. None of the connectors shown in the video would plug in to my L1 Compact. What are you talking about??? Are you talking about a power supply or a connection between the Tone Match and the L1 unit? And if it's the latter why would it have to be powered? I watched this video because I was seriously thinking of buying one now I'm so confused I think I need to wait till someone can explain this in understandable language.
@wilsenssessions52157 жыл бұрын
use a regular speaker cable to go out of main master out of the T1 to the channel you want for the compact. when you do that connection, you have to buy a ac adaptor from bose or www.ebay.com/itm/BOSE-POWER-SUPPLY-T1-Tone-match-115-230V-/272659516393?hash=item3f7bc60be9:g:6u0AAOSwONBZDSQY normally the T1 is power via ethernet cable to the base unit of the model !! and the model S. The compact needs you to use a AC adaptor. sorry for the late response
