Thanks for the detailed review. I figure the surface area on the COSORI would be more useful than the depth of the ninja, but nice to see that theory backed up.

I have owned th Ninja foodi max for nearly 2 years. The two things that annoy me is when setting the time if you keep your finger pressed it goes down in 5 minute intervals until 15 minutes then it jumps right down to 1minute, which is a pain as I cook most things for 10 minutes. The other is not being able to reset either timer individually after cooking has started.

Brilliant thanks. Seem to recollect someone saying that if you press and hold down the Cosori preheat it will turn it off as a default - not verified. I would really like a comparison of the general build quality and the durability of the baskets after multiple dishwashers but it’s likely similar.
@CandidClara
@CandidClara 2 күн бұрын
I shall test out that theory! There was a similar thing going around about stopping the beeping on the Ninja by press and holding a button which sadly wasn’t true. Really appreciate the suggestion about the baskets too, I shall think over how I might implement that in future reviews

So far i've had the Ninja af400, Instant brand and now the Cosori, and the Cosori for me beats the other two hands down, the base plates on the Ninja started flaking after a few uses and I found when cooking it went from just right to overcooked in just a minute or two, so I spent much more time checking everything, the Instant brand was really good but just didn't have the function's I wanted, the Cosori has all I need, basic programs that no-one ever uses anyway apart from the synch and yes I use the preheat, as for the baskets like you I found it has more usable space, I really can't fault it, mine was £159 on Amazon,

Very good and useful video. it would be good to mention the materials used in the drawers, basket and their coatings, for those who care. Also how would you compare the ninja 12-in-1 air frying, seeing that you mention the surface area being important?
@CandidClara
@CandidClara 3 күн бұрын
Yup, good point and noted for next time. Surface area is important when comparing three very similar models, but hard to draw a direct comparison between the Combi and these three though

Great review! I’ve discovered recently your channel and let me say that it is splendid. I am on the process to decide wish air fryer to buy and I have a few doubts, that I would like to ask your help about. Regarding the depth in cms, these are the measures I found online: Ninja AF400: 27 depth (37 depth including the handles) Cosori Dual Basket 8,5L: 44 depth - does this includes the handles? Phillips 3000 9L: 27 depth - does this includes the handles? Can you tell me the real depth on all of them with and without the handles? By your reviews I would maybe considering the Cosory, but it seems a bit bigger in depth… You say that you believe that Phillips most probably only have one fan speed. Shouldn’t it perform worst because of that? I suppose that the different fan speeds on Ninja and Cosory would fit better to the needs of the different type of dishes you cook. Only the Phillips have the preset programs. I am a newby on air fryers. Do you think that, that’s and advantage? I would say that looking at the food icon it would be more immediate to know what to do, rather looking at a printed table… Or is this not pretty relevant, and very soon became irrevelant? On the other hand, the other two brands have all several type of cooking programs (Air Fryer, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, Reheat - that manages the fan speed, besides temperature and time) that Phillips doesn’t have. Is the preset programs some how similar to the cooking programs? Is it better to have these programs or the Philips presets? On Cosory there is the Grill program that doesn’t exist in Ninja. What is it used for? What should be the similar in Ninja? The Air Crisp? Because I think that is the only one that Cosory doesn’t also have. On your reviews you mention the Air Crisp is to use I think in frozen snacks or something like that… To grill a generous stake or a T-bone is it on the Cosory Grill program that should be cooked? And what about in Ninja? Thank you very much in advance for your attention.

Is the lower max temp in the Phillips much of an issue? I was wondering if their “rapid air” or whatever technology makes up for the lower max temp. Are there dishes that just won’t be possible in only 200 or is it only a matter of cooking a couple of minutes longer? Also the low max time is a bummer, but still I’m most tempted to buy the Philips.

I bought the Philips 3000 due to the fact the larger basket capacity is hands down the best feature of all. The 23 cm width by 22 cm depth is a game changer So far this air fryer has been magnificent. The only real issue I had was that it was extremely hard to find any of those silicone liners that would fit. Most liners online are sized to fit Ninjas. But I did find ones that are kinda ok, not a perfect fit but they work well.

@@moetbkr6381 yeck, then you buy it. With the Philips I can cook a xtra large full size chicken without the chicken touching any of the basket walls. Can't do that with the Corsari or the Ninja. Moreover, I can cook a full 8 inch chicken pot pie. Yes, the full sized pies. You can only cook those smaller individual pot pies in the others. Same with frozen lasagna, larger roasts, prime rib, list goes on. 6.3qt basket beats 4.0qt anyday and NO video review will change that.

@drright2410 I'm trying to decide between the Philips and the Cosori. I already have a 5.5litre one but want a bit more flexibility. How useable is the 3litre basket? What do you tend to cook in it? Thanks.
@drright2410
@drright2410 2 күн бұрын
@@buraklayasam That is the size with the inner basket frame/inner grill plate. I personally do not use this at all. I have a silicone liner that I use now (makes clean up so easy) and there's no disconcerting difference between using the grill plate or not. But I do prefer the larger cooking capacity

It depends who is doing the considering. Public health authorities in the Uk (and as far as I know in Europe and the US) consider PTFE safe, they wouldn’t be allowed to sell it if it wasn’t. However some people consider any form of non-stick coating to be bad.

I must say that I think your reviews are great! Clear commentary on what matters and good visual representations too. I have a 5.5 litre Cosori and have been very pleased with it but I really would like a dual drawer one. I’m torn between the Cosori and the Philips. The 3 litre basket on the Philips looks very small - how useable is it? With the Cosori, I don’t like that it carries on timing even when the drawer is open. I’m also wondering how easy or not it would be to clean the glass fronts on the Cosori?
@CandidClara
@CandidClara 2 күн бұрын
Apologies if you have already seen it, but I compare the Philips and Cosori on this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4SyiZtmgrOZaNE And as regards the windows, you can’t access the inner side of the glass so you can’t get them perfectly clean (although I have heard of one person who took them apart and I may try that in a video!) BUT they are never crystal clear, it’s not like looking outside even when new, so it doesn’t bother me

Ninja are Tesla of air fryers, market leaders on air fryers and on paper great specs but quality control is a problem. I've had 3 different ninja products one an air fryer and plastic they use is really poor, scratches easily and they use a lot even though prices are high. Also if you buy one of their products too new, it'll straight up not work, we bought the ninja kettle and the amount of faults the electronics had, it errored boiling water, madness. I've now got a Tower air fryer and although not as powerful or feature rich, it just works.
