I love how the history of any of the former Yugoslav countries really can’t be explained without the history of the whole region being explained. Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, Slovenes, Macedonians & Montenegrins have always been deeply intertwined

in the Croatian editorial office the events of the LJPD and Barski Biskup wrote original writings from the 11th century. They also mentioned Bošnjani (Bosniaks) in the 9th century, the first time when the Croatian king Trpimir stormed into the Banja Luka and Bosnian Krajinaregion with his army and the Bosnian Ban as also the people sales since Bośnjani was first mentioned as a people in the 9th century by the LJPD from the 11th century and the Croatian editors wrote it themselves and published it in the 17th century from the old LJPD archives, which also existed in Latin, so the Bosniaks were even Mentioned as factors in 9th century but in Latin version there is only Bosnian Ban King and not People Why Bosniaks were not mentioned in Latin only Bosnian Ban is disputed but the only thing that is known is that the original document came from the South Slavic language i.e. LJPD in today's Slavonia Krajina and that these archives were taken from Slavonia by the then Croatian Church at the end of the 11th century and given to the Vatican

“Hrvatska” sounds so much cooler than “Croatia” “Hrvatskan” or “Hrvatskian” or maybe an Anglicization like “Hervatskian” could be the demonym in English

I think it might be "Horvat" anglicized. That is the most popular last name in Croatia as well.

@@DinaricWolf I have definitely heard of the surname “Horvath” in Hungary. I’m guessing it has a Croatian origin from the era of Austro-Hungarian rule

@dinaric Wolf you said Kingdom of Croatian, Serbians and Slowens and asked "Where are the Bosnians?" at this time Bosnians had no problem to see themself as croatian or serbians or just a respected minority. Bosniak nationality was not a big thing at this time. i think people living in bosnia were the most moderate at this time. Some kind of switzerland today.. For example. German, French, italian part of switzerland they all see themself as "Swiss" and Bosnia was something like this..

In the 1992 independence referendum, Bosnian Muslims are referred to as "Muslims", not Bosniaks, that change in view happened during the war and Bosniak became what the Bosnian Muslims called themselves.
