The Star Fox 64 Restored OST is one of the many results following the "Gigaleaks of Nintendo" from July 24th and 25th, 2020. Found in the files of the game were not only all of the uncompressed voice lines, but also uncompressed instrument samples for the music, as well as the MIDI sequences used in the game to perform the music. Using the instrument samples and MIDI sequences, I was able to recreate the entire soundtrack to Star Fox 64 in the highest quality we have ever heard.

Between this being in 5/4 and Ganondorf’s battle theme being in 13/8, the N64 era was definitely Nintendo’s era of experimental music composition… and building it into boss music battle themes.
