Man, even now, I hear this music and my adrenaline kicks in. They did well in reserving this music for the truly epic and deadly boss battles. Venus and her charms, Apollo and his flares... Party wipers.

@@fnkjesnfkjn as far as I know, Muskets will almost never miss on Venus. But they don't deal as much damage as swords will.

Venus was the first hard wall I ever encountered in an RPG. As a kid I'd managed to get through FF1 and FFL1 but Venus just wiped the floor with me. Took me weeks to figure out how to beat her and I remember starting over so I could bring a different party. Also, Apollo's heel turn took me completely by surprise. A deft narrative? In my Game Boy title???

I associate this theme with but two characters: Odin, and Apollo. Apollo of which gave me fucking nightmares. To this day, I have not beaten this goddamn fucking game. I no longer own it, but when I did I popped it in on occasion and ran through it, hoping to end that OP son of bitch. Alas, I never once killed that goddamned traitor. UGH...

Smash really needs a FFL2 character so they have an excuse to use this music, but which character would they use? What kind of Smash moveset would it look like? And what stage?

That's not happening anytime soon, but that's a nice thought. Either they take a Mutant and apply the same treatment they did to Corrin (both genders to choose) with Flare as their Final Smash or they just pick the Robot and make him use the Smasher (ha ha)

@@bleurdreemurr4277 in retrospect I think we would have to just agree to combine STR and AGI into one stat for the sake of having a human have a chance. Then again, I feel like Smash Bros really doesn't need another human swordsman/woman. Monsters or mutants/espers might just be the best option.

@@LampreyKisses that's why I completely ignored the Human. Is not bad, but there are a lot of Sword fighters already, and we can't make him go with Whips because Simon & Ritcher exist. Mutant and Robot are good options, i'm not counting Monster because even if I like the way they behave, I can't come with a way to make they transform in different beings with different abilities/attacks without making it look like Pokemon Trainer. And for the stage, It probably would be the Towers that connect the Worlds, or the Final Palace where you & Isis fight the final bosses.
