This song blew my mind as a kid, and still does even as an adult.

Best song on ANY game on the Gameboy. 100%. Will never be topped; the complexity that is delivered through just 3 sound channels is insane, the loop comes in an awkward (but logical) place, it's catchy as hell....this is THE pinnacle of 3-track OSTs, and I'll die on this hill.

This is one of the best pieces of video game music ever written. Such good chord progression and melody and the song structure stands up against any modern prog group you could think of

Couldn’t agree more. The composer really utilized the full potential of the gameboy.

@@hannasolo7005 this definitely sounds like Kenji Ito. His first game with square!

@@nunyabusiness69 correction, this theme was done by Nobuo Uematsu, however, I don't blame you for mistaking it as Kenji Ito, as he's the main composer for the "SaGa" series. As a Nobuo fan, this is definitely his style of music... which is just pure non-sense melody and chords into beautiful arrangements of instruments, like the rest of his tracks he has made. xD As a Kenji Ito fan, dude seems to have an actual music sense and composition and progression (if I'm using it correctly or even knowing what I'm talking about xD) like this track [ kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYikfIRshpt2iKM ] which is SOOO good! Even makes me think why this Track wasn't used as the "Save the World" theme instead of this track, but w/e, both are godlike! xD lol

*Arsenal launched the Smasher* *party endures* Robo uses Seven Sword 😈😈 Having a party of one mutant & the robots was hilarious after grinding soft resets/Haniwas for the Seven Sword. Not that it's necessarily needed to beat Arsenal (I've done fine in the past without it)

Pokemon battle themes sound similar to this piece, in other words. Honestly pokemon doesn't really compare, it's not bad but comparing PKMN to FFL is really night and day, it's good, but FFL is much more passionate imo.
