I've owned this since it came out and could never figure out how to get a decent sound out of it. I was posting this online to sell it, watched your demo to see what I should tell people about it? And... you've convinced me to keep it!

I had one of these for about 8 or 9 years, which was actually my first ever wah, used to get some terrific sounds from it and going back to a conventional wah years later, was like riding a pushbike after spending a decade on a Harley Davidson!

I bought this same pedal year ago in a Vegas Pawn Shop for cheap…You gave a very thorough explanation for me to dig it out and try it on some blues lick😎🌈🌺🤙🏽….Thank you for a great video!

I've had one for somewhere in the 15 or more years range. At some point I decided I was not that crazy about it anymore. I tried a Snarling Dog, that didn't do it for me. I had previously, over the course of several decades, had a Wah Face, and then a Morley (not sure which one). All bought used. Then a few years ago, I lucked into a used Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, and thought I had finally found Wah nirvana. However lately, I've been having noise issues with that, and after hours of messing around with it, and substituting a scratchy dirty sound for power pack interference noise, I said screw this, and put the V-Wah, which I had wisely kept, back on my board. So far, loving it again! And no noise! Meanwhile I can play while trying to figure what's wrong with the Clyde. Oddly enough, I'm now liking the Vox setting, which I'm sure I did not go for previously. Great review, btw, thanks!

Great review by the way, I've bought one of these now, and am very happy with it! This thing is basically a high quality Boss Multieffects unit in one low cost (secondhand) space saving format. Also, it might seem hard to use, but once you learn how to use it, it is all fairly straightforward considering the depth of this beauty!

I got one of these, but it gets scratchy and the volume drops out, so I got another PW-10 (with the huge box!) today, I want to take the old one apart and try to fix it. I mainly got it for the Uni-Vibe setting, but there's some neat stuff in this pedal.

So in a nutshell, its a tinkerers wah pedal. Pretty cool. Glad I put one on layaway

It’s frowned on by the purists, yet accurate enough that the listener wouldn’t notice...
@justinmarang27213 жыл бұрын
@@DanBakerMusic hmm, that kinda sounds like a sleeper effect. So that would make it a tinker sleeper wah. Yeah the commen lister would never be able to tell the difference.

Sounds very authentic to me. There is a difference between original 60s/70s Crybabys and 90s or current models. But this pedal is in that same family of sounds, and sounds great IMO!

I had one many years ago, then switched back to my old Cry Baby (1989 model). Now that my Cry Baby is playing up badly, I decided to buy a PW-10 again because of the versatility and the fact the switch won't play up on me, cutting me off live completely after I stomp out of it!

Cool pedal! Would be interested to seeing your pedal board for a little run down on it and the signal chain.

To be honest I'm quite new to stomp boxes: I've spent most of my formative years with an amp wound right up and just using the volume on my guitar to clean it up... Glad you enjoy my videos and feel free to share on any social platforms! By the way, my signal chain is: Wah - octave - chorus - tremolo - phaser - blues driver - compressor - delay and then amp. I know a lot of people might raise an eyebrow but I'm kind of used to it! Cheers. Dan

Yo Dan! By sheer coincidence (we gigged recently) I was coming back to my Boss PW 10....after trying a few others with bass. I had a different one on the last gig but didn’t feel inspired to use. This seems to be the one!! So I was checking the reviews and saw you! Nice one bro!

Thing sounds way to computery to me new word
@DanBakerMusic5 жыл бұрын
It's about compromise here, really. The computery sound will be partly down the KZbin compression too, and also the fact that I've used a guitar amp plugin. It's much different when it's in front of an AC30 cranked up!
