To be fair it is a class a/b amp. I use to run a Kenwood 921 that was 75 watts x2 at 4 ohm and 100 x 2 @ 2ohm 200 watts bridged, and ran 2 15 in gold letter kicker comps, and they slammed. That's why it couldn't take that 1 ohm load, because I've yet to see a class d amp not handle a 1 ohm load

I have this exact amp running a 15in sub at 2 ohm and it'll have my windows rattling. You have to switch the bass boost on to make it hit.

If you are running bass boost , you are definitely clipping because you are feeding that sub pure distortion. Look it up .

the single 30amp fuse was a dead giveaway this amp was gonna be bunk, but for some reason boss stuff is decent regardless of the labels. i had a '600 watt' boss amp back in the day with a soundstream 15 in a V.W. Golf hatchback... bass hit so hard it would literally make everyone start sneezing.. ppl could hear me coming for at least a minute before i actually showed up

Easy way to give a idea of real power is take the amplifiers fuse rating and multiply by 10 so if there's 2 20 fuses on the amp that's 40 amps total fusing x 10 =400 watt amp

I’ve only had a couple of amps that actually did x10 of the fusing, but yes, I go by this as well. I usually figure that it’ll do a little less than x10.

The 10x is typical of a class D amplifiers 70-80% efficiency. When you're dealing with a Class A/B you have to take into account it's lower efficiency and use a multiplier of maybe 8x. This is of course based on the manufacturer using the correct size fuse. This Boss amp should probably be using a 25 amp fuse.

Get u the recoil 1200.4 4 channel class d amp for like 100 bux that amp does over 300 per chanel like 350 per channel and bridged does over 1200 x2 and again it costs like. 100 120 shipped robot underground KZbin channel will sell u these and many many more stellar great amps brand new in box super cheap he even has 3k 5k 8k amps also I believe he has a deal the 5k amps are 350 each and bad a dead buy 2 save 100 bux includes shipping.

Now when you think you are buying an amp with 1000 watts RMS and you actually only get 300 watts RMS then they are in fact stealing from you since you are paying for a 1k RMS amp and not getting what you paid for.

You just need to learn not to get scammed. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is. You need to be suspicious and verify. Look at reviews, look at tests. This is something you learn as you get older. 😉

@@ryzen397 First tip off is that 1500 watt amps cost a lot more than $99 with free shipping. Second tip off is a 30A fuse. 30 amps times 13 volts is only 390 watts before accounting for losses. Third tip off is that it's class A/B which has low efficiency. Lets say 60%. So 60% of 390 watts is 234 watts. That's a long, long way from 1500. Forth tip off is it doesn't list rms power specs, only "max". Whatever that is supposed to be. As you get older you start realizing that advertising and marketing can be very deceptive. You have to know what to look for. 👍

I'm confused about what ur audio channel is about? Is it to show the cheapest of the cheap that u can buy ? I personally don't, and would never own a boss product, but people who have known boss since the 90's, know that's boss's tactics to stamp max power all over the box( so there not held accountable to cea ratings) maxxsonic and epsilon have messed the game up

Boss amps are not built tuff they are just a very weak mids highs amp at best and no they won't push a sub at all they are only good for 5 1/4 little door speakers at the best and no 1 talks about how good those amps are built to protect themselves ur the first and only person I've ever heard say that in my 20 years of car audio.
