Finally a video which shows all the possibilities of the Boss IR-2 and therefore live included with the clean boost in the loop for solos. Thank you so much. I'm waiting for mine because it's out of stock everywhere in Europe at the moment.

@rocknbiodj8671 It's not hard to find one pronto, most larger retailers just make lame excuses to hinder them, -they'd much prefer mugs buying amps and particularly valve/tube amps and the Boss IR2 has rendered 95% of most guitar amps not worth the chase, amp sales dropped off the cliff in the first month globally because of the IR's arrival a few months back...no wonder retailers are making their total bs excuses.

Thanks for the review upload! I'm always a fan of musician vids that actually show what the pedal chain is, what is being used, etc. I just placed an order for one of these through Sweetwater. Got a call from their rep saying it's about a month and a half on back order lmao. Very interesting to know how it sounds in the middle of the chain. Not too bad. Looks like a very useful Amp Sim pedal, but mostly just very convenient.

Love it! I did the same this week.... brought a bigger board, and added a NUX mini chorus and delay...plus found a boss noise suppressor at cashy's for $65. Digging that Friedman amp clone pedal you've got.

The boost pedal in the FX loop boost over all volume or just the effects in the loop? Why not put the boost in front of the pedal (before it)? Sorry for the dumb questions.
@Brennosguitarsandgear7 ай бұрын
Boost pedal in the FX loop brings up the overall volume without adding gain. Boost in front of the pedal adds gain and compresses the sound , but won’t significantly raise the volume, especially on an already gained up tone. Hope that makes sense

Yeh it’s a ripper. Got a Duncan screamin demon in the bridge , and a dimarzio cruiser in the neck. Duncan in the middle, but can’t remember the model

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't understand what 'in the loop' means. Are those three pedals on the left connected to each other and then go back into the IR-2? Where exactly? And why do it that way? I want to go directly into a PA. Pardon my ignorance. (Perth is amazing from what my Aussie cousins tell me).
@Brennosguitarsandgear11 ай бұрын
The boss pedal has an effects loop for patching in mod, delay, and reverb effects after the amp emulation. You could plug in these effects after the pedal , but then the sound of them would not come out of the headphone or usb output

It's a no-brainer putting a pretend amp in a box? into a real amp in a box right off the bat, not a smart move in my ears, there's enough clean and crunch AND dirt already in the IR2 without clouding up the guitar, it's just overkill quite frankly just cause the other pedals are sitting around...not to mention where it's heading to afterwards...any modeller just plainly demands any decent fr cab to let it do it's thing properly, I don't know what your running it finally to? but any conventional guitar amp just won't even do it properly.

Audio is running from the headphone output of the IR-2 direct to my iPhone via an interface. No amps used Thanks for watching 😊

@@LIKEFUNK I get what your saying but it also depends heavily on what your using it for. for example, the biggest use of these amp sim pedals is to play live ampless, in which case you would want to potentially turn on and off effects mid song. 2nd is that having a drive pedal set so you know exactly how its going to act with knobs pre set is a lot more convenient for live use then having to redial in everytime you want to change the amp settings on the ir2 for a more or less gritty sound.
@LIKEFUNK11 ай бұрын
@@harriettubmanappreciater9091 I'm pretty sure the ir2 can obviously handle additional pedals being pre and even post attached, my focus is the end output is heading to either a p.a. or conventional guitar amp, each guitar amp produces it's own styled tone as brand recognised accordingly, the models in the ir2 are pre modelled only not post modelled, some are set as full dirt for harder styles and really don't require 'double-dirting' (so to speak,) the main point I'm insisting on is that any modeller only works as best when it's sent to a full range cab, sending it to a conventional guitar amp is not allowing it's full range'd captures to be heard as actually fully intended. I use a multi unit/modeller into a pair of full range cabs and I'm able to stand toe to toe with the original amps with ease....including tube-types!
