Acoustic setting: That is actually designed for an accoustic guitar with a pickup. BUT WAIT! Using Boss Tone Studio with the Katana, one of the effects is "Guitar Simulator" which will make it sound like an acoustic. It will also make humbuckers emulate single coils and vice versa. There is even a setting to emulate a hollowbody electric like a 335. Its an amazing amp.

I've noticed a lot of people having latency while recording the Katana so I figured I'd share my solutions to this: Method 1 is to direct record the Katana via usb cable into laptop. You need a DAW for this. Your headphones should go into the Phones/Rec of the Amp. The signal is weak and needs to be set up to 200%volume. Or add a volume booster VST on that same track. Method 2: Draw a cable from your Phones/Rec into an audio interface which then goes to the amp. Your actual phones should go into the Monitor of the interface. The signal is hot and should be rolled back from : guitar volume /amp volume /amp master/interface gain whichever is your sweet spot. Method 3 could be method 2 but using the Line Out of the amp instead of the Rec/Out which makes the monitoring out of the amp itself and no phones needed. None of the variants sound professional and I still use my VSTs for recording.

I love the actual sound of my amp coming out of the speakers. But I really hate the Line Out, I tried messing with Tone Studio to no avail. It is not just the same with the actual sound of the amp! Tonight I try to dial in some basic setup through recOut and it sounds to me a bit better than the Line Out. But I have not tried yet to compare with the actual speaker sound. I’ve had a few people mention this but I don’t have any problems. But I record using a mixing desk so the signal gets split and I monitor from the desk while sending signal to the computer. Sorry Mate - Page 13 of the MKII Specs indicates that the Rec/Phone out is STEREO in all models.
