is this video about USB recording or line-out recording? the title says usb recording but you are talking about line out settings in the system menu. Please clarify

I could tell when you were talking about switching mics in the line setting but there was no apparent change in the sound. thanks, i appreciate the effort

I do talk mics because they’re available both for usb and line out via boss tone studio. It’s easy.

Well, every guitar is mixed in a record. If you know how to do it it will be in same level as any other unit.

There are some comparison videos on YT and I instantly heard the gen 3 being more crisp in the mid highs.

still the katana hurts my ears. they just cant get rid of the harsh 10kHz frequencies without sacrificing tone. you cant palm mute anything. you cant dial smooth, warm, creamy lead sounds. it gets exponentially worse the more gain you use. brown is not earthy. they should rename brown to granit or bedrock. edgy and harsh. not modern at all. unfortunately your play style and music taste is also quite old school - boomerish. thats what mascerades all the weaknesses of the katana
