When you say "Bank 1, Patch X" or whatever, what does that actually mean? I understand banks are presets but what are the patches and how are they selected ?
@LetsPlayAll Жыл бұрын
The patches are the presets and they’re arranged in banks of 4 so say you’re in Bank 1 you can select patches 1-4 using the corresponding pedals. You can also move up and down the banks so you can access then other patches - hopefully that makes sense 🤘

I'm wondering if it's possible to bypass all the amp sims, IR's' pre-amps etc? I have a couple of great amplifiers and would just like to use the multi-effects in the ME-90. Possible or not...? Thanks for the sound overview!
@Dr_JK Жыл бұрын
Hey mate I have the ME80 and it's pretty close in terms of setup to this ME90. The top left pedal controls the pre-amps. When that's switched off the bulb next to the Pre-amp is off. I use the ME80 the same way you're thinking of running. You might notice that the pedal is "off" in the photos he's used, that's because he's using it in memory mode i.e. with patches - so the lights correspond to which bank he's in rather than what stompboxes are enabled i.e. @1:38 he's in the P1 bank using patch 1. For the best results, switch to manual mode (top far right pedal) and you can treat the rest of the pedals like stompboxes - which includes disabling pre-amps. Hope this helps.

I have a couple of honest questions. 1) Why are you saving up for a Gibson? Regardless of guitar, I suggest you try guitars to see how they feel and also see if there are any quality issues. If you really want a Gibson for the "mojo" or for whatever reason, go for it. But the experience of many of us is that having is not as good as wanting. There are many used Gibson guitars and it could take time to find the right one. Also, there are great options, often with better quality control and for less money. So you need to be sure that the Gibson is worth the money. 2) Why do you need a tube amp? What are you using it for, it what will you be using it for? There are good affordable tube amps out there, and there are even good solid state amps. If you've got the Boss Katana, that one is even gig worthy. If you're not gigging, I would suggest that you don't spend too much money on a tube amp. There is nothing magic with tube amps, though if you find one that you really like, you'll have fun. Basically, what do you need your gear for? I've had a Blackstar HT-20 for about ten years, sold it and got the HT-5R MKII, which was a really boring amp. I then bought the Blackstar Artist 15, and I was pretty blown away. That amp doesn't go into much overdrive, which is okay, it's a great pedal platform. Even when I play clean, that amp has such great punch! I sold the Marshall DSL20, it just couldn't compete. I used digital modellers since I started, since around 2005, used Boss and Line 6. I came to a point in 2020 where I started rethinking it. I spent more times tweaking than playing. Call it option paralysis. I started building a pedalboard in 2021, to limit my options. It worked out so well that I have a great board with about ten pedals, a loop switcher and a digital amp modeller at the end, the Boss IR-200. I do most of my recording with it, but I also do some with my amp. What does this have to do with what you wrote? Well, it took a while for me to realize what I want to do and how to do it. Basically, I'm trying to save you money by urging you to think about what you really need, why, what your goals are and what you want to accomplish. Don't just buy a Gibson or a tube amp just because you're "supposed to have them".

I might be stupid, but I have a simple question, my guitar player just brought this one and we could not find how to switch preset patches. My gt1 pedal is easy to use, you can change patches easily, but where are the patches on this one?
@LetsPlayAll Жыл бұрын
To switch between presets you just use the footswitches, so 1-4 for each bank. Change bank by pressing the bank up or down followed by one of 1-4. Note you need to exit edit mode otherwise the footswitches relate to turning on/off specific effects in that patch. Hope that helps
