Love your very comprehensive videos Leo. I have a GT1000 core and as much as I love it, changing a parameter either live or at rehearsal is tedious. I love the idea that you can just adjust one or two knobs like an ordinary pedal and away you go. No one in the crowd will know or care if there is a difference between amp sims (if there is any). I’m selling my core and buying an ME90

@@LeoGibsonGtr thanks for the reply. I am wondering...if I use an amp with my GT1000 anyway (I can never get it to sound good by going direct to a PA...too many frequencies overlapping with the other band's members, so I use it with my Nextone Special), then maybe I should swap for a cheaper machine...

Best demo on ME-90 as far as I know... ! Question 3. Finally..., there is someone who touched on the topic "Gap when switching the presents" 👍as it seems to be a sensitive topic regardless Boss or whoever it is.... I almost felt like those companies asked the demonstrators NOT to touch on it 😆 Perhaps, you could try this again in a bit more musical content? like.. switching from a high gain lead with long delay and reverb patch to a crunch ~ cleanish patch with no delay or reverb using your foot (with a clean sock on it). Thanks again..!

Hi you are welcome, and I'm really happy that you appreciate the video! Let me just say that the unit manages trails, therefore if I tried switching using delays, the result would be altered (in my opinion). Great demo Leo. I already have the GX100. 1 thing to note is the Gx!00 can stack multiple boosts/ODs /and delays/reverbs which makes it worth the price. Plus its not that much bigger or heavier. The only plus for the ME90 is it can use bateeries so don't have to worry about noisy power outlets.

Leo.. I'm trying to decide between this model and the GXModel.. It's hard! 😛 I love the interface on the ME90 as it's more like a real amp with real pedals, but I like the other for all the options.. Difficult choice. Thanks again for all the hard work you do sir and helping all of us guitar players! Tim
@LeoGibsonGtr
@LeoGibsonGtr Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's and hard choice....they are both nice units....the GX is more advanced and you can build more complex signal chains and has more effects. The ME 90 has the touch sensitive interface which is super nice...
@hoosierdaddy2308
@hoosierdaddy2308 Жыл бұрын
A@@LeoGibsonGtr Absolutely. I like both of them. I don't really record that often. Just for fun mostly and I play gigs at really small places that usually don't allow an amp. So, one must use some type of system that can be used by the mixing desk or the PA. The ME 90 I think would be more conducive to using via the PA without too much thought.. The GX though can really be tweaked ahead of time and gives me more options to really hone my tone! So it's very difficult. The GX also has the Micro Pitch adjustments with the delays and this means I wouldn't have to buy an Eventide micro pitch. I use this effect or want to a lot because I play cover songs with Van Halen and Steve Vai, etc, and this is important.. Plus I like to write originals with this effect and the haronizer, etc,.. Thanks again Leo.. Regards kind sir.. Tim

Hi Leo. I have a question for you. I recently sold my Helix LT and have a back order on the new Boss ME90. Do you think it is better sounding for clean and light breakup than the Nux MG30. It’s really only going to be used in the studio for delivering stems and silent stage gigs going direct (not into an amp). I am an older player and the user interface and size are factors. I also use Tonex and Helix Native for recording in the box. Sometimes it’s too much of a load on the computer. I know this is a subjective thing but I trust your ear. Thanks, Mat

Ciao Leo, ottime informazioni come sempre. Quello che non ho capito è se il Tap tempo è globale e se può essere usato anche in modalità preset. Se non sbaglio la ME80 per usare il tap tempo doveva essere in modalità pedal oltre a dover premere il pedale per due secondi. Hi, there are no bass amps simulations in the ME 90, therefore for me it's a "no go" for bass guitar. As regards acoustic, I'm not quite sure. I mean, you can load your own IRs in the unit, therefore one IR can be dedicated to the acoustic guitar. I mean, if your guitar has a piezo, you can go in the ME 90, switch off the amp, and use an IR dedicated to the acoustic guitar. Thank you!

Can we change parameters of reverb more than one knob in the app?

Hi, I'm sorry, I have not understood the question
@intotheshred

They are asking if there's more control of reverb if using the app, or its still just a single control of more or less reverb.

When you got a GT-8 from 2005, here is absolutely no need to sell it for the ME-90.

Grazie
@LeoGibsonGtr
@LeoGibsonGtr 10 ай бұрын

Grazie ancora

Between this, the GT1000 core and the boss ME90 which is a better option in terms of: - getting an almost mix-ready sound that I can directly plug into an audio interface to play /record - getting a great sound when connecting it to a PA speaker (not an amp) if I intend to go ampless on stage

mix sound: I would say that they are on pair PA: I would say GT 1000 (I mean the regular one), as it has balanced out Thanks!

Im sure this is a fantastic gear. But, in my country, it will be priced very close to the gx100. Anything around 75%. My guess is based in the actual prices of the ME 80 and the gx100. I live in Brazil.

wow the me-90 has some weird distorted fuzz..i wanted to like this me-90 but this tone at 9:26 killed it for me. as the level rises it doesnt sound as clear and dynamic like the marshall does. Some kind of compressed boxy distorted fuzz that surrounds the tone.
